Historia
Following the devastating attack on Yaresh, its people are left to pick up the pieces. The city lies in ruins, but its decimated defenders have more to deal with than just reconstruction. Jason's actions during the battle have brought unwelcome attention from allies and enemies alike. While the adventurers question his loyalty, the messengers question his very nature. Both have designs on Jason that he intends to thwart, but a danger comes to light that shifts everyone's agenda.

"Cool story bro."
Is it just me or is Jason becoming less and less likeable as the stories progress. I get the dark and brooding/broody hero thing, as the books are full of tropes (intentionally so) and the subversion of such, but the more "cosmic" he becomes the less and less of an enjoyable or interesting character he becomes. He feels less and less like a guy fighting insurmountable odds and more like a Prince/Princess that runs his mouth when he doesn't get his way.

Solid Entry
Revisado: 06-28-23
A solid entry to the post apocalyptic genre. It gets a little bogged down by repetitious language (goddess, legend) but I appreciate the tone in which the author reinforces respect of specific characters. The characters have flaws and show growth. 4/5.

Historia
Albion continues to be divided by revolt and bloodshed, as alliances collapse and are made anew. Driven obsessively for glory, the upstart Bellamus and his exiled queen Aramilla are marshalling resistance and building a powerful army. Returning to the Hindrunn, Keturah is forced to fend for herself, battling enemies on all sides just when she is most in need of a place of safety. And all the while, the young Black Lord must deal not only with the aftermath of a great betrayal, but the cold shadow of the Kryptea, threatening to destroy everything he has fought for...

Solid Conclusion
Revisado: 01-16-23
I don't know how to feel now. This story was well written but unsatisfyingly painful. I feel much the same as I did after several seasons of Game of Thrones or the books they were written after. I don't think I have ever teared up at the end of a book series, but I did at this ending. It is definitely worth the read or listen, but do not expect to come away from the end with anything but a sense of loss.
