A continuity error?
Revisado: 09-10-24
Having read (listened to) all three books, the error with the Ramfold gem color is a strong error. It distracts from an excellent story line. The stone was blue, but when it's returned in Vadishfold it's red? Other than that, it's a really excellent story.

Historia
Ryan wakes up to find his contractor dad building walls to turn their big old house into a duplex. The family that moves into the other side includes Bizzy Horvat, the pretty girl he has a crush on at school. Bizzy claims her mother is a witch with the power to curse people with clumsiness or, in Bizzy’s case, astonishing beauty. When a bee gets caught in Bizzy’s hair, Ryan acts so quickly and radically to save her from getting stung that he attracts the attention of a group of micropotents - people with micropowers.

The protagonist seeing the necessity for his micro power but not desiring to use it because there wasn't any cap on fatality.

Orson seems to be quietly bringing up some of the finer points of his "unbelief?" in LDS doctrine.

How incredibly different the book is from the movie.
Revisado: 03-18-24
The story of a cold blooded, logic driven antagonist has never been told better than this book. Colossus makes HAL look like a diapered baby in comparison and there isn't any mental breakdown in Colossus.

Historia
This is a complete presentation on the workings of the human spirit and soul and body. The book aims at delivering people from the tyranny of self-life with its carnality and from the domination of the passions and lusts of the flesh. It attempts to lead them to the full salvation of Christ. It is not to be taken as a manual but as a guide to true spirituality. It is recommended that this three-volume work be listened to quickly once.

Was Nee an apostle?

A great book of the faith where the reader is led by Nee into deeper discipleship. Impressive seems to fall short...

Great series
Revisado: 09-03-20
Love David Eddings descriptions. Almost poetic in descriptive prose. Some of the voices (Polgara) leaves a bit to be desired. Great story telling, though.

Historia
In a distant galaxy of colonized planets, the atrocity of slavery is alive and well. Young Thorby was just another bedraggled orphan boy sold at auction, but his new owner, Baslim, is not the disabled beggar he appears to be. Adopting Thorby as his son, Baslim fights relentlessly as an abolitionist spy. When the authorities close in on Baslim, Thorby must find his own way in a hostile galaxy. Joining with the Free Traders, a league of merchant princes, Thorby must find the courage to live by his wits and fight his way up from society's lowest rung.

Love this book. Great story line.

The only flaw is that the slang is a bit dated. other than that, it's very good. Wonder why no one has written a screenplay...
