Interesting social commentary disguised as romance.

I am truly enjoying this series. The world building is thoughtful and done without interrupting the flow of the story, which is an accomplishment in itself. I do agree with other reviewers that Finn as a character was more developed and sympathetic than Athena. But that didn't distract from my enjoyment of the book. It's a strong series.

The nerd and the jock

I liked the story, though it was a bit rushed in terms of the insta-love aspect of it. I would have preferred a bit more of a slow burn on this. But it was my first foray into the Harris boys and it whetted my appetite for these lads! What I truly loved was the duet narration. Good stuff!

I really really really love the duet narration and can't get enough! Will and Charlotte make the perfect Tanner and Belle. It was definitely a Beauty and the Beast modern retelling and worked very well. This is my definitely favorite Harris story and the Epilogue had me laughing out loud in my car! That must have been quite a race to the finish line! Please, keep doing duet narrations, they work wonderfully!

I really enjoy Gretchen Galway and her style of storytelling. It is sweet and sometimes goofy with great character development that can be lacking in this genre. Tanya is a wonderfully funny and touching narrator. Gretchen, when will you write Trixie's story? It would be tons of fun to see how Liam, Mark and April would lose their minds if their mom remarried, not to mention Gayle, Ellen, Kate, Bev and Rose. Surely Zack would enjoy himself immensely!

The story was sweet and sassy. Just like the heroine. Loved them both and the series is great. Loved April in all her punky glory paired with a nerdy guy who hides his sexy self beneath his glasses! The narrator KILLED! It was awesome. I would love it even more if it had been done in duet narration to hear his nerdy voice but a girl can dream!

It was a very original take on Greek Mythology and the Abstinence angle was clever. I also enjoyed Hera's journey. However, I wasn't as keen on it as a lover of Greek myth. I was waiting for the characters to assume their traditional roles once the shenanigans were over, with a new found wisdom and appreciation for the parts they play in the greater scheme of things. Alas, they didn't. I enjoyed listening to it though. The narrators were great!

I enjoyed this romp. It was well paced and believable to a point. However, the narrators, especially the male narrator, floored me. The book was infused with an intensity and life that I thoroughly enjoyed. Both Summer and John did a terrific job. I only want to know which other books do they narrate.
