Historia
Eli Hopkins has it all—almost. A hockey career with the wildly popular Appies. Teammates who are like brothers. The only thing he's missing is someone to share it all with. Oh, and correctly filed visa paperwork. Due to administrative error, Eli is about to lose everything. Unless he can find someone to marry him in the next thirty days. He might have the perfect woman in mind. The only problem? He'd like to marry her for real, not simply for legal purposes.

A sweet story of reversed roles and dog lovers
Revisado: 02-12-25
He’s always wanted to get married. She’s always wanted a family. Can they both find what they need in the other?
The story is humorous as the characters dance around what they want, before they even realise what that is. The narrators deliver just the right level of emotion for these enthusiastic characters to shine. I thoroughly enjoyed the slow road to realisation and Eli’s shy but fully genuine enthusiasm, Bailey’s determination to carry on after her world fell apart, and I especially loved Eli’s Mum’s over the top joy of living her fullest life - and then there’s her book club!

My requirements for a man are simple. Must love books. Must NOT love hockey. Which is why I will never be interested in my neighbor, the aloof and mysterious Felix Jamison, no matter how many books I see him hauling into his apartment. Unless he loses his pro hockey skates, I’m out. But then he shows up at my symphony concert.

If Music Be The Food Of Love… don’t let hockey deter you!
Revisado: 02-10-25
Loved the sweet story of two souls gently drawn towards each other, even if they didn’t realise it. Deeper moments caught my attention, like the tattoo meaning, and the fabulous cooking experiences learned from older souls.
Finding two people who need something that only the other can give… understanding. Following their journey to discovery and overcoming old hurts was enjoyable, and by the end I was on the edge of my seat with excitement. It makes you want that kind of balanced partnership and mutual trust in your own life.

Historia
Owen Larrabee is not my soulmate. He wasn't when I confessed my love to him on his wedding day, and he isn't now. I should probably say that I wasn't the bride when that happened. I don't have the best timing. He's got a temper, he's moody, and he has a history of being misunderstood and making big mistakes. I, on the other hand, make pumpkin cupcakes, spend my Friday nights curled up with a beloved romance novel, and long to be kissed in the rain. Owen is my best friend's older, off-limits brother and the only boy I ever thought I loved.

Charming Opposites Finding Their Common Ground
Revisado: 02-09-25
It’s a sweet story, expressed in an enjoyable way that flows effortlessly from one character to the other. The story is easy to follow as the plot unfolds with humorous twists and turns, the narrators have a true empathy with their characters and bring the perfect amount of emotion to each situation, and I think the final scenes are my most favourite - and very satisfying.

Historia
When the mouthy bad boy of the Appies catches the groom cheating on the coach's daughter, he can't just walk away, not on her wedding day. Maybe his own relationships are casual, but he would never cheat and never treat wedding vows so carelessly. Not after he and his sisters watched their divorced parents cycle through marriage after marriage. But forcing the groom to come clean sets off a chain reaction Van couldn't have expected. Ending with a black eye, an unexpected trip to Florida with one runaway bride, and a secret bargain struck with Coach.

Humorous and sweet… with caring family overtones

Feeling like the main character, it was fun to follow her journey from her wedding day to finding her footing on her own terms, with a few laughs along the way.

Historia
Concerned that technology is about to chase mythological creatures out into the open (how long can Sasquatch stay hidden from Google maps?), the League for Interspecies Cooperation is sending Jillian to Louisiana on a fact-finding mission. While the League hopes to hold on to secrecy for a little bit longer, they're preparing for the worst in terms of human reactions. They need a plan, so they look to Mystic Bayou, a tiny town hidden in the swamp where humans and supernatural residents have been living in harmony for generations.

A very colourful tail…
Revisado: 02-06-23
Engaging and delightful, amusing and intriguing, this magical tale of mystery, science, investigation and revelations had me laughing as the characters interacted, and totally enthralled with the quirky and detailed storyline of a human entering an environment overflowing with magic and charm. I absolutely enjoyed imagining each aspect of this offering and I listened. So much so, I couldn’t put it down (so to speak).
I highly recommend giving yourself over to this delicious and romantic view of what life could be… if we all had a little magic in our lives.

Historia
For years, rumors of the 'Marsh Girl' have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand. Then the time comes when she yearns to be touched and loved.

A slow burn, but a compulsive journey to ride out!
Revisado: 06-02-20
It’s a story of resilience and quiet strength. No matter how much you try to ignore life... it will seek you out and force you to join in its struggle. Nature will not let you go quietly into the night. It draws you out to meet it, on its own terms.
I love how the author creates detailed descriptions of life in the marshes, images of Kya’s whole world, and links the ebb and flow of nature with her understanding of life. The images are so full and colourful, you can’t help but imagine yourself in Kya’s world, her paintings, her isolation, feel her loss and appreciate her story. Understanding how she comes to think of nature, and her marsh, as a map to her life.
I love the hints of humour throughout, and compassion at a distance, the way pain is expressed as a lack of touch, and I especially loved the ending.
