Focused on a specific genre
Revisado: 04-02-24
It could be just my impression in the first chapters, but I couldn't read through the rest of the book, it seemed to be too much focused on a specific genre that is not the one I'm looking for. Also, didn't enjoy so much the heavy usage of methafors that just leave you with a vague idea of a method or goal, instead of a more clear definition, again, maybe this methafors are ok for a given genre but not easily transferable to others. So my recommendation is to maybe give the book a go, and if in the first two chapters you feel like this reaches to you and the genre you wish to write for, than maybe you'll enjoy it.

not the best but still good as to want for more
Revisado: 04-30-23
I felt like it could have been more on the book, like it left too much like a Clif hanger. but still it is a nice story, will keep looking forward for the next one. there were some issues with the audio on this book though, like in one place the narrator was talking to someone else, and in some points it had some bad editing. I really enjoyed the narrator so far, and I can only thing that the only improvement for the narration would be to add in a female narrator as well, to give a bit more diversity in the female characters.

Historia
Acclaimed actress Claire Danes burnishes an epic story of heroes, gods, and monsters in a groundbreaking translation of The Odyssey, the first great adventure story in the Western literary tradition. When the wily warrior-king Odysseus sets off for home after the Trojan War, he doesn’t realize this simple undertaking will become a perilous journey of 10 years. Beset at every turn, he encounters obstacles, detours, and temptations—both supernatural and human—while his wife Penelope fends off would-be suitors desperate to take the throne.

Good book, but narrator could improve
Revisado: 04-09-23
It could be better if the narrator used different voices for characters, or maybe have more than one narrator would help.

Becoming a permanent addition to a game world, it doesn't take long to learn that people with his abilities are actively hunted. In fact, if the wrong people gained knowledge of what he was capable of, assassins would appear in droves.

A saga on combat/stats logs
Revisado: 11-19-18
Ok, so I've read up to the third book, and still the story haven't showed it self... I mean, there are some stuff happening, but that alone don't make up a story.
Also I didn't like how the author keeps putting lots of unnecessary stats info (I'm not complaining about having the stats information, what I'm complaining is how it is presented). To get an idea, there's a part that the main character just won a fight against many enemies, and instead of describing all the exp gained from the normal enemies together, and then present the exp for the 'boss', it just keeps repeating: "you gained ... XP for killing this low level monster" over and over...
That same stuff goes for the analyse skill. It was ok the first times to show all the information that the skill can give, but come on, it's the third book, we got the point, so there's no need go through all the stats info when he does a analyse on them, if in the end, this information won't be important to the history.
In the end of each one of this 3 books the feeling that I had was that there is some history there, but instead of reading the history, all that I'm reading is combat/stats logs.
So, if you got this books for free, then fine, they keep your attention for some time. But I don't recommend buying it. (unless the series gets completely different after the third book hahahaha)

Great story with promising series
Revisado: 11-12-18
The first thing that I liked when I picked up this book to read was that there's already plenty of books on the series, so no need to wait many years to read the next book.
A interesting thing that I noticed is that, since I've read another LitRPG first (awaken online), this one felt so so similar in the way the world and narration is presented. This made me fill a bit sad, because I hadn't realized that this was one of the first books that implemented this idea, and that the other ones just reproduce this style (no problem in that, just that I was giving credit to this style to the wrong author). That been said, there's one thing that I really didn't like in this story that other LitRPG seems to make better. How things in the Land world seems to follow a very gamelike mechanics is a bit odd when you try to think of it, somethings just seem a bit too forced, it would be better, in my opinion, to make this gamelike interactions more seemly, this way the "NPC" interactions wouldn't fell to robotic. Also the main character response to being imprisoned in a different world was just too off... The author could have explored a bit the idea that the character wouldn't really believe what was going on at first, and then latter found out that there was really no escape, or make the character a bit more emotional to this. It's ok to thing that "oh, he didn't have anyone special waiting for him in the real world, so that's why he was just so relaxed" but I still think that's a bit forced. And as I said, other litRPG have dealt with this way better, letting the main characters always on the edge for the first chapters as they are still getting used to this concept (no need to put them crying their hearts out, just make them more human like).
But, even with all of this, the author seems to be ok at developing the characters, so I'm hopeful that in the next books the characters interactions will be a bit less forced.
The story it self is really nice, the world existence seems well thought and I'm looking forward for the rest of it.
Oh, and the narrator is quite good as well (that really makes a difference)!
