Historia
After the way my first love took off for the ends of the earth, the last thing I want is to see him on billboards and bookstore bestseller shelves. Now my boss just handed me the project that could make my career. All I have to do is partner up with the man, the myth, the legend - adventurer Hunter Armstrong. That's easier said than done, because when we reconnect, I learn Hunter has his own agenda on this project. And it's not to find a treasure in art and antiques. It's me. But what we discover shocks both of us, and we have no choice but to follow the clues....

I seriously LOVE LOVE LOVE Lauren Blakely. I can't get enough of her books!! BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT Scott Eastwood?? I mean honestly, if I was looking at him during this, maybe I could cut him more slack. He is very pretty. His voice wasn't bad for the leading man but he had zero emotion, zero inflection and his timing was just off. It was like it was his first time ever reading the story and he decided to record that and just go with it as the final version. When he did women's voices (and really any character) it made it hard to follow the story because there was no differentiation in the voices. I almost didn't make it past the prologue. I found myself having to re-listen and really concentrate to follow who was saying what. It was a chore to listen because of this and I almost didn't make it through. Sadly, Andi is so great that his flaws really were magnified.

Historia
Heidi and I have been trading hungry looks all year, and everything she does makes me smile. But I don't do girlfriends, and I certainly can't get involved with the league commissioner's daughter. I need shots on goal, not a hookup and a widely misunderstood paparazzi photo. Can I resist her, though? The way she teases me should be a game penalty for interference with my libido.

Love but ohhhhh Savannah

I have never left an Audible review - but gosh, I just had to because I love the story, author and series SO much that I need to provide feedback to feel like I'm doing my part!!
Author = Awesome!!
Story = Awesome!!
Narration = needs work :-(
I am fully invested in the Brooklyn Bruisers team - I want to know them, hang out with them and work for the team!! I love all these characters so much. I just found the series and have been listening back to back.
BUT - and I'm sorry this is a BIG BUT - Savannah Peachwood needs to work on her Men's voices!! They were SO BAD I almost wasn't able to continue with the story. Especially paired with Jason Clarke. When Savannah was narrating Jason Castro in this story it was literally the most painful thing. She sounded constipated and confused, it was hard to follow the story and glean what emotions were trying to be portrayed. Now, to be clear, Savannah's female voices are stellar. Savannah I love your female voices!! She was so believable as Heidi and it added so much to the story. Buttttttt when she has to do Men's voices, I honestly felt bad for her. It was bad enough that in previous books Castro was read with an accent and here he was not, I could deal with that and honestly Jason Clarke is amazing and as the joke goes I could listen to him 'read the phone book' but unfortunately, I think that just made Savannah's poor Men's voices even worse. I get that narration is tough, but when you are paying as much as these books costs its just hard to deal with such a low level of performance. I love audiobooks and I think this genre has come a long way in a short amount of time. But please Savannah, get some help and additional training. You have sooooooooo much potential!
