Historia
I earned my reputation among magicians for a reason: one wrong move and you're dead. Killer, they called me, and killing is what I'm best at. Except her. The one I was supposed to take, the one I should have killed–I didn't. The cult that once controlled me wants her, and I'm not about to lose my new toy to them.

Unexpected
Revisado: 02-19-24
This story line truly takes you through so many ups and downs. It has so many turns you don’t expect. I’m not sure what I was expecting. But this book doesn’t disappoint. If you like thrillers mixed with smut/romance. This book is for you. There were scenes that truly scared me, especially because you only know as much as the main character does. There’s a lot of emotional turmoil. And I don’t want to spoil anything because genuinely this book will keep me you on your toes. And you won’t know what’s going to happen. Or what to expect. Definitely a good read!

Characters, plot, development.

I absolutely loved this book. I’ve read and listening to it numerous times. Definitely one of my favorite mafia romances. The female character is young, and raised to keep secrets. Or keep her expectations to herself. So it’s to be expected that’s she doesn’t voice what she wants, or what’s going through her head to her husband. As most people would see his determination shows he actually likes her. She doesn’t see it that way and sees this as a loveless marriage until she force to see it isn’t. Everything does unfold, but the tension until then is infuriating and keeps you hooked in. Overall a great story, I would’ve like to have seen maybe a story on her sister so we can see glimpses of their relationship further down the road. But the other books in this series are amazing!

Historia
Ryder, Garrett, Kenzo, and Diesel - The Vipers. Their deals are as sordid as their business, and their reputation is enough to bring a grown man to his knees, forcing him to beg for mercy. They are not people you mess with, yet my dad did. The old man ran up a debt with them and then sold me to cover his losses. Yes, sold me. They own me now. I’m theirs in every sense of the word. But I’ve never been meek and compliant.

The Spice, the healing, and the characters.
Revisado: 02-18-24
This book definitely has ALOT of spice. And ALOT of different types of spice. I did however like the way they let you get to know the characters and why they are the way they are. Rather than that just being their character. If that makes sense. I was not ready for vast amount of different types of spice scenes their were with the same women. If you aren’t into polyamory this book definitely isn’t for you. But there’s only one scene with her and multiple of them. Majority of the book is one on one. That being said, if you’re just diving into to spice books. This might be jarring for you as it was for me. Being one of few first books I read like this. XD But it will set a higher expectation of spice v story line with future books. There was a little more to be desired in the way of the story line, which is why I rated that a 4. Overall a great story, great spice, and I LOVED the main character. Such a bad ass. Definitely worth the read. The male voice actor does an amazing job at changing his voice to really bring to life each character and their differences.

Historia
My brother’s best friend thinks he owns me. Mr. All-Star Quarterback won’t let me heal in peace. His perfectly chiseled features are always there, suffocating me, refusing to let me wallow in my own misery. Reid is the epitome of “hard-headed jock”…and he has his sights set on me. If he wasn’t so stubborn…. If he wasn’t so captivatingly handsome…. Maybe then I’d be able to keep my defenses up. Will these new feelings taint my brother’s memory? Will we cross a line that will ruin everything?

The Forbidden Romance and Character Development
Revisado: 02-18-24
The voice actors are amazing, I had no problem listening to this book. And overall I didn’t mind the story at first. Just a young girl trying to overcome her trauma from her brother passing away. And I would say it was fine. But the way the author completely pushed the story line at the end to make for another book. Made me irritated, and I didn’t even bother reaching for the second one. I get she’s young and they showcase her making decisions without thoroughly thinking it through. But genuinely, who runs away AGAIN when their boyfriend is in the hospital. Especially after they showed her train of thought earlier of her growing and admitting running away wasn’t the answer. And the female character who ended up being her bully, just didn’t fit or make sense to me. All that being said, I would’ve liked for the book to end on a better note. Or even up to your imagination on what exactly happened. And have the second book be them 10 years later. Not some run on book of the stupid ending this one had. The spice scenes were again ok, but you can’t expect much from a high school romance. I think this book is definitely catered more towards the younger adult audience. Overall I appreciated the story line, just not so much the ending. It was an ok read, which is why I give it three stars.
