Historia
Already cited on the floor of Congress and discussed in the corridors of the Pentagon as a book all Americans should read, One Second After is the story of a war scenario that could become all too terrifyingly real. Based upon a real weapon - the Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP) - which may already be in the hands of our enemies, it is a truly realistic look at the awesome power of a weapon that can destroy the entire United States.

THE "RAAAAAWWWWRRRR" was a bit much.

Kids liked it well enough. I didn't enjoy the narrators attempts at different accents and the dinosaur roars we're almost abrasive.

Historia
Fifth grade was the worst year of Marc's life. He stunk at gym class, math was too hard for him, the school lunch was horrible, and his class field trip was ruined because he couldn't swim. But what was the most awful thing about fifth grade? Kenny Williamson, the class bully, who called himself the "King of the Jungle". When Marc's mother tells him that his uncle Jake is coming to stay for the whole summer, Marc can't wait. Uncle Jake is a for-real super-cool Navy SEAL. And Uncle Jake has a plan.

Great for everyone!

Not just a kids book! Yes, it's geared for, and great for kids, but I think there are a lot if adults that need this same direction.
My 4 and 6 year olds listened to this in the car, over a week of just usual around town driving. We would get home, and they wouldn't want to get out. They wanted to sit in the car and keep listening!
I bought three copies of the hard cover. One for my kids, and two to give away.
Thanks Jocko. Seriously. Great book!

Historia
The greatest athletic performances spring from the mind, not the body. Elite athletes have known this for decades, and now science is learning why it's true. In his fascinating new book, How Bad Do You Want It?, coach Matt Fitzgerald examines more than a dozen pivotal races to discover the surprising ways elite athletes strengthen their mental toughness.

Analytical, but a bit too much so.
Revisado: 07-08-16
I liked the book. The audio is clear and very easy to understand. The material in some spots gets boringly analytical and I found myself spacing off. If it had shorter stories about each athlete, and a more personal and emotional connection to them, I think it would've been better. So I liked it, but can't whole heatedly recommend it, unless you really geek out on psychology.
