Historia
Once upon a time, a wondrous Kingdom flourished under the reign of its proud Fae king and his family. All was not as it seemed when poisonous schemes and utter betrayal led to the downfall of an empire. Sixteen years have since passed, the lands now lay in ruin, and crime prevails despite the will of the Council. Their mission becomes clear: produce an heir and unite the Kingdom to restore its former glory.

Historia
Senior year is my year. This year, I'm going to bring down my enemies. This year, I'm going to run my tongue along the blade of vengeance and taste blood. The Havoc Boys are mine, and we were here first. You don't mess with a Havoc Girl without paying the price. You don't start a rebellion without a little bloodshed. My boys and I don't mind using two wrongs to make a right - I just hope our brewing obsession with one another doesn't kill us all first.

Worth the listen
Revisado: 10-18-24
Second time listening through and reading through. Performance is spot on. Author is clearly talented but it feels like the author puts too much of her own thoughts and opinions on politics and experiences into the character which I noticed the first time and again the second time.

Historia
When I was ten, I was a naïve, shy girl. A girl who dreamed of sunsets and roller skates. Until my grandparents died. Then I found myself alone in the world. One bad thing after another seemed to find me but I dealt. I dealt because a man with a black leather jacket and ink from head to toe, told me how to survive this world. He told me that, sometimes, you have to get mean. And so, I embraced my mean. I hated it at first but as time went on, being mean became second nature.

Very good but something was missing
Revisado: 09-14-23
The story was good. There was definitely a lot of effort put into the performance but maybe it was too much effort, it was a little cringey and awkward at times. Definitely took away from the story. There were a few times that I thought the story would’ve been better to read rather than listen. Half way through, thought that maybe this would have been part 1 and the relationship itself would have been a second book. So much beginning to the story to finish so quickly. Still good and worth a listen.

Don’t waste your time
Revisado: 04-14-21
Narrators did their best with this just terrible storyline. It was more fustrsting to finish than anything. Just such a boring, shallow storyline.

Historia
Nothing is fair in war. Jonathan King is every bit his last name. Powerful. Untouchable. Corrupted. He’s also my dead sister’s husband and way older than me. When I first met him as a clueless child, I thought he was a god. Now, I have to confront that god to protect my business from his ruthless grip. Little did I know that declaring a war on the king will cost me everything. When Jonathan covets something, he doesn’t only win, he conquers. Now, he has his sights on me.

So much potential but no storyline
Revisado: 02-03-21
This entire story could have been told in just a few chapters—it was a boy meets girl and that’s it story. There was no actual external plot or rise and fall or hiccup or anything of that sort. It only alluded to the one main issue with her father which doesn’t even get addressed in this story. It was a constant repeat of this same exact problem being mentioned over and over and except for one line in the last chapter-even that doesn’t get to involved—there really was no plot at all. And the “duet” should have been one book. It’s a shame because the entire series is amazing—it just feel forced that this was split into 2 books so unnecessarily. Plus a Majority of the sexual experiences were glossed over with several “it went on for 2 weeks like that” type lines.

Historia
They say the devil goes by many names, and I know four of them: Ciro, Hale, Zaid, and Lucas. My father was once a powerful player in the Chicago underground, but six years ago, he left that life behind. The past always finds you, and mine finds me on my wedding day when four brutal, dangerous men drag me from the altar in a hail of gunfire. Four men who used to be four boys. Four boys I cared about. Four boys I left behind. They’re not the same boys I knew though, and whatever we may have once been to each other, it doesn’t matter anymore.

Just eh
Revisado: 01-22-21
It was an okay story. If you are a fan of the dark romance type genre, then I wouldn’t recommend it. The story was pretty elementary and basic compared to others out there.
Could barely get through this and had no interest in the remaining books in the series. (Which says a lot given I can read through an entire night without sleeping when it’s a good book...and often do).
