Historia
Forget the summer I turned pretty…that was the summer I got hips, acne, and utterly humiliated by Aaron Richmond. This summer? This is the summer I had to marry the bastard. When I walk down the aisle towards my enemy, all to save the Coleman family fortune, I shouldn’t give in to my wounded inner 14-year old-self. I should smile, blink up at him prettily, and declare to have and to hate…Err...hold.

This is the second Richmond brother book. It features Aaron and Daisy Coleman. They have a long history dating back to childhood. He was her first crush and she feels he humiliated her in high school. She was his first crush and he feels she ruined him in high school. As you can tell from this that they definitely have their wires crossed. Skip to present day and Daisy must marry Aaron to save her family’s company and fortune. The contract was drawn up decades ago and has so ,any stipulations. Throw in a crazy, self absorbed mother, Aaron’s. And a few septuagenarians and a cat and the hilarity abounds on every page. Can they survive being married for 31 days? What happens when they fall for each other? This story is full of passion and misunderstandings.
The audiobook is narrated by Beth Roeg and Jackson Calihan. They do an excellent job bringing this story to life.

I caught the bouquet at my best friend’s wedding. I wasn’t even dating anyone, so I was sure I wouldn’t be next. Until someone from the past came back. We’d promised if neither of us were married by the time we were 30, we’d marry each other.

Dark BDSM Romantic Suspense!
Revisado: 05-24-23
This is the second book in this world. Although you can read them in any order. This one features Macy. She is an almost 30 year old virgin. She is also a librarian with a very active sexual fantasy. She is supposed to marry her college friend. They had a pact that if they were both single at thirty they would marry. But Livia’s, her best friend, husband abducts her. And delivers her as a gift to Colin Black. He now owns her. She is to be the Sacifice. But no one will explain what that means. This story is deviously twisted. Macy’s fantasy world seems to be coming true. Can she let go of her conventional mores? Will Colin ever let her go? The more she learns about him she becomes more entranced and repulsed. Kitty Thomas is one of my one-click authors.
I loved the dual narration. Addison Barnes and Jason Clark do an excellent job conveying all the emotions and danger.

A love story across the ages!
Revisado: 01-05-23
This is the fifteenth book in the Guild Hunter series. It features ancient Archangel Alexander and Archangel Zanaya. Their love story spans millennia. They have always had a clash of egos and pride. They love for a while then they fight and separate. Even once Zani becomes Alexander’s equal it is hard for her to relinquish control in even the smallest of ways. She tells him again and again that she doesn’t kneed a protector. But when she tells him that she is going into Sleep he feels abandoned and betrayed. But many centuries later she is pulled from Sleep to battle for the survival of all…angel, vampire and human. Just when he thought he had her back she is struck down in battle. Can Alexander live without Zanaya in the world? Can Zanaya ever come back from her grievous wounds? I love the attention to detail and depth of character the Nalini Singh brings to her books.
The audiobook is narrated by Justine Eyre. She does an excellent job at breathing life into these characters.

Comic Romantic Suspense!
Revisado: 06-22-22
This is the fourth book in this series. Of course I t features Anna Albertini a small town layer with a huge family. See she’s half Irish and half Italian. And the guy in her life is Aiden. He rescued her from a kidnapper when she was young. She has been in love with him since. Now that they are grown up he has come back into her life. And it couldn’t have been timed better. Her kidnapper turned into a stalker. And this Christmas he has escalated things. I love how quirky Anna is and That Aiden is there to support/rescue her. And then there is Santa. He is framed for murder and she has to figure it out to save him. This tale is full of action, humor and steamy romance. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
And the audiobook is narrated by Stella Bloom. She does a great job bringing all these characters to life.

Revisado: 05-20-22
Wow! I don’t know how she does it, but this series only gets better with each book. This is the twentieth book in this series. It focuses on Balthazar and homicide detective Erika Saunders. With a side feature of Devina to make matters worse. They are instantly attracted to one another. But how can they make it work? He is a thief and she is a cop. Not to mention he is a vampire and she is human. Can true love prevail? Can they survive Devina’s meddling? With the help of fallen angel Lassiter and his fellow members of the Brotherhood they might pull it off.
And there is a surprising new/old character to contend with in the future.
The audiobook is narrated by Jim Frangione. I just love his voice. The deep tone is perfect for this series.

Historia
Clementine Waterhouse is a perfectly logical witch. She doesn't tumble headlong into love. Rather, she weighs the pros and cons and decides if a relationship is worth pursuing. At least that's always been her modus operandi before. She prefers being the one in charge, always the first to walk away when the time is right. Attraction has never struck her like lightning - until the witch hunter comes to town. Can the bossiest witch in town find a happy ending with the last person she should ever love?

Paranormal Romantic Comedy!
Revisado: 04-27-22
This is the second book in this series. It feature Clementine Waterhouse. She and her cousin Danica are techno-witches and they have a fix-it shop for appliances big and small. But they are operating under the radar as witches are not known to the mundanes. They also have to watch out for the witch hunters. Unfortunately Danica’s magic had been spiking and flaring lately. And a witch hunter is assigned to their town to seek her out. So their coven sisters are trying to hide and convince him there “is nothing to see here.” Clem volunteers to distract him. But she didn’t count on Gavin Rhys being so attractive and with a British accent. He is tired of never putting down roots. And he is lonely. He doesn’t feel right about his job. Their story is full of angst and attraction. Will Clem be able to convince him to abandon his hunt? Will Gavin finally understand why he has been having doubts? And is it possible for a witch and a witch hunter to have a Happily Ever After? I love the easy to read style of Ann Aguirre. Her characters and world are completely believable. And they worm their way into your heart.
Ava Lucas does a great job narrating. Her skill with voices and accents is amazing.

Fantastic start to this Humorous Mystery series!
Revisado: 04-26-22
This is the first book in a new series. It features Gabriella Rose a recovery agent. But she is not a bounty hunter. She recovers lost/stolen items and investigates insurance fraud. Her recent case is personal. She is trying to find the Seal of Solomon. It is part of the Treasure of Lima. She has clues to it’s whereabouts from old family diaries. In trying to retrieve said diaries she has to break in to her old house. See she messed up by letting her ex-husband have the house. And she gets caught. So in the interest of all concerned he tags along on this treasure hunt. This story is full of history, humor and danger. They travel from South Carolina to Peru to New York City to Costa Rica to Peru to California and back to South Carolina. They are in competition for the treasure with a psychotic leader of a cult of the god of death. They are also helped along the way with a variety of colorful characters. I literally read this in a day. Well, with a little help from Audible. Lorelei King does an excellent job as narrator. She nails matching accents and voices to the characters. I highly recommend this book and I am looking forward to more.

Swedish Detective Mystery Thriller!
Revisado: 04-18-22
This is the seventh book in this series. Each one gets better. Inspector Irene Huss is in fine form. She can solve the case if she gets more pieces of the murder puzzle. Fortunately we get to ride along with her. This case has many moving parts and just when they think they have it solved an alibi changes the course. This case involves human trafficking, drugs, car theft, murder, a shoot out, kidnapping and a trip to the Canary Islands.
The audiobook is narrated by Suzanne Toren. She does an excellent job bring these characters to life. I love hearing the names of places and people in their native language.

Romantic Suspense!
Revisado: 04-18-22
This is the fourth book in this series. It features Claire Britten and her husband Nick Markwood. She is a forensic psychologist who is now working with at risk youths. They take the children to visit a wildlife sanctuary when one of the owners is killed by their tiger. Fortunately her husband, a criminal attorney, is there and can help. Is it a suicide, an accident or murder. There are many avenues to pursue. And while they are doing that a dead gator is left in their pool. Then the animal caretaker is attacked and is in a coma. Then a dead boa constrictor and dead rats are left under a car in their driveway. Is it the former owner of the tiger? Is it the owner of the neighboring hunting game preserve who is trying to buy the land using any means necessary. This story has so many twists and turns. It kept me turning the pages late into the night. I love Karen Harper’s books because they are full of information and suspense.
Courtney Patterson does a great job narrating the audiobook. She helps immerse you completely so well that you feel you are right there with the characters.

Psychic Paranormal Romance!
Revisado: 04-12-22
This is the eighteenth book in this series. It features Jonás “Smoke” Harper who is on GhostWalker team one. That means he is of the first iteration of the psychic warriors that Dr. Whitney created. This means he is an amalgamation of numerous animal genetics. He meets his genetically matched mate in Camellia Mist. He has a long way to go in gaining her trust. But not as far as he first thought. Their shared genetics end up working in his favor. Together with his team they have to stop a threat to all of team 1 and team 2 plus all of their families. Including children. And along the way they all learn lessons in trust.
The audiobook is narrated by Jim Frangione who does an excellent job. He is one of my favorite narrators. And he breathes life into each character.
