This is one of the most delightful AT stories I’ve listened to. The author is very honest about his experiences and those he meets during his adventures (human & dog), developing his characters well and eschewing bravado and influencing. He artfully portrays the contrast between his NYC and his AT life/culture, as well as the subtle contrast in cultures of those on and around the trail. I may even listen to this one a second time.

If you are looking for a “quick easy solution” this may not be your book. If you are searching for an understanding of sleep problems this is your book, and it’s often funny to boot! I listened to it & worked on my sleep hygiene before going to my doctor, am glad I did, & so was my doctor!

Although the narrative by David Pittu is excellent, bringing the characters to life beyond the written words, this novel is reminiscent of a poorly edited Stephen King novel. The writing is exquisite in sections, but dulled by the excess verbiage and repetition in others.
