Historia
My name is Storm Redfield: Navy Commander, Special Forces. Born on Earth in the year 2057, I don't belong in the twenty-third century. Nevertheless, that's where I end up following the worst betrayal of all by my own people. During my time asleep, humanity has become a spacefaring civilization. We are no longer alone in the universe, and the galaxy is at peace . . . more or less. Now, I have a choice to make.

Fun Lesbian Romp in a Sci-Fi Future
Revisado: 03-27-23
Okay, so I wasn't expecting much with this one. As former military with a background in all things science and intelligence, I figured it'd be mediocre. It was actually a ton of fun. There were some editorial inconsistencies in the story early on, but that seemed to settle itself out. But it was the characters that drew me in. It's always the characters for me, if I'm honest.
Storm Redfield is a badass woman with an axe to grind. Stella, I've decided is my spirit animal, and I'm totally in love with her. I have been since she first appeared in the book. Frankly, I loved it from start to finish. The story is good, the series is fun, and I've listened to it four or five times now.

Historia
Years ago, the SS Arcadia vanished without a trace during a routine voyage. Though a garbled emergency message was broadcast, neither the ship nor any of its crew could be found. Sixty years later, its wreck has finally been discovered more than 300 miles from its intended course...a silent graveyard deep beneath the ocean's surface. Cove and her dive team have been granted permission to explore the Arcadia's rusting hull. Their purpose is straightforward: examine the wreck, film everything, and, if possible, uncover how and why the supposedly unsinkable ship vanished.

Bloody Terrifying
Revisado: 02-17-23
The way Darcy Coates draws out the terror of the experience, both claustrophobic and masterful. As a novice diver, I know a bit about diving, and there was quite a bit of well-researched dive information, but not letting the details get in the way of telling a fabulous story. One of the most important elements in the story is that we don't get a view into everyone's head. There are specific individuals who, while important characters, are largely silent in the narrative, which brings us to an even more terrifying ending. Loved every minute, though I had to stop a few times to recover my breath near the end. Good stuff.
As usual, Craden's performance was spectacular. I have been in love with her voice since the first time I heard it. (probably why I contracted her for my own audiobook). That being said, she goes above and beyond here. Just perfect.

Historia
This is the way the world ends...for the last time. It starts with the great red rift across the heart of the world's sole continent, spewing ash that blots out the sun. It starts with death, with a murdered son and a missing daughter. It starts with betrayal, and long dormant wounds rising up to fester. This is the Stillness, a land long familiar with catastrophe, where the power of the Earth is wielded as a weapon. And where there is no mercy.

Fabulous
Revisado: 10-20-22
As a writer, I'm just jealous. An amazing immersive story with solid world building, an engaging plot, and a well represented view of what it truly means to be a second class citizen. I hope that everyone who reads it gains just a little more compassion for those that are oppressed.
