Historia
It’s summer 1977 and closeted lesbian Tammy Larson can’t be herself anywhere. Not at her strict Christian high school, not at her conservative Orange County church and certainly not at home, where her ultrareligious aunt relentlessly organizes antigay political campaigns. Tammy’s only outlet is writing secret letters in her diary to gay civil rights activist Harvey Milk...until she’s matched with a real-life pen pal who changes everything.

Coming out told well
Revisado: 05-24-21
I felt my story in these pages. I experienced a similar difficult time with my family when I came out, only I cane out on 2002, and this is set in the 1970s....oh well, progress is happening, it’s just so slow! Great, great book!

Amazing
Revisado: 07-29-20
I didn’t expect such amazing storytelling to go along with the insightful history of our horrific president.
Highly impressed and I would listen to/read from this author again.

Historia
Cameron Post feels a mix of guilt and relief when her parents die in a car accident. Their deaths mean they will never learn the truth she eventually comes to - that she's gay. Orphaned, Cameron comes to live with her old-fashioned grandmother and ultraconservative aunt Ruth. When she’s eventually outed, her aunt sends her to God’s Promise, a religious conversion camp that is supposed to “cure” her homosexuality. At the camp, Cameron comes face to face with the cost of denying her true identity.

Historia
Hollywood powerhouse Jo is photographed making her assistant Emma laugh on the red carpet, and just like that, the tabloids declare them a couple. The so-called scandal couldn't come at a worse time - threatening Emma's promotion and Jo's new movie. As the gossip spreads, it starts to affect all areas of their lives. Paparazzi are following them outside the office, coworkers are treating them differently, and a "source" is feeding information to the media. But their only comment is “no comment”.

Light reading, lesbian/bisexual main characters
Revisado: 07-16-20
Ok so I read this for a book club.
It’s good, I enjoyed the characters, but it’s very predictable and bland in the story.
You wait 24 freaking chapters for them to get together and you get a blink of a final connection. The anticipation is decent but the climax is boring.
Bland half ass sex scene with barely a description.
Overall I enjoyed the book but was very let down by the lack of really good deep content.
