Perfect blend of positive narrative with horrible backdrop

The Nazi period presents such brutality and amoral acts, it is challenging for the author to inject positive behaviors in its midst. I would have put the book down if not for such adroit writing. Is it possible for us to accept another amoral autocrat who seeks revenge in our own country? The abuse of women continues today. Powerful achievement by author.

True leader

What a treat to have her as the narrator of this wonderful book. A beautiful balance of her family life and its influence on her own significant achievements.
She never stopped fighting for the underserved and became a great manager as well, spreading her influence. I now feel very comfortable with her as our president if that transpires. I couldn’t put it down.

Action filled

The grey man is the most incredible asset with a soul. He has been trained in every possible skill to take on any enemy or target to assassinate if appropriate. He doesn’t believe in innocent collateral damage, so we get lots of detailed combat and action without innocent blood. Nobody like the grey man.

An intelligent but easy listen to an in-depth analysis of immigration and its causes. I never understood the cruel and oppressive exploitation of so many countries and their people. I do now.
Should be required reading.

Raises heartbeat

I love this author and the incomparable grey man. However, this time the subject of sex trafficking was so dark for me that I had trouble hanging in there. I could only listen during the day or I couldn’t sleep. A noble cause that our Man could not ignore no matter the risk. Some people must seek justice for the innocent and brutalized, at their own peril. This is the Grey Man.

The story confused me as she took us back and forth among the richly described characters, but I hung in there and started to piece it together. The book kept me so engaged that I listened in the car, the club and the house. The end made me pause and take a deep breath, just to recover from all of the final crocheting.
