Historia
When fifteen-year-old Eragon finds a polished blue stone in the forest, he thinks it is the lucky discovery of a poor farm boy. But when the stone brings a dragon hatchling, Eragon soon realizes he has stumbled upon a legacy nearly as old as the Empire itself. Overnight his simple life is shattered, and, gifted with only an ancient sword, a loyal dragon, and sage advice from an old storyteller, Eragon is soon swept into a dangerous tapestry of magic, glory, and power. Now his choices could save—or destroy—the Empire.

Outstanding!!!!

Captivating and mesmerizing! My eight year old son and I look for any and every opportunity to turn on this audiobook. Gerard Doyle's narration adds so much to the story! (even the "male" Saphira voice is more convincing for a dragon than the voice used in the movie). I tried several times to read the novel and could never quite stay interested long enough to get past the first chapter. I thought on a whim that I would listen, instead. I'm so glad that Audible made this series available. My only concern is that book three will complete the adventure... Fortunately, each book is longer than the last. (I've already purchased the other two and have begun ELDEST!) Without question, Christopher Paolini has created a triumphant masterpiece...a MUST LISTEN for SCI FI/FANTASY fans!
