Different but basic
Revisado: 10-23-21
I found this to be a kind of superficial story, kind of basic but it was enjoyable. I didn’t love the ending but it tied up all the loose ends. I thought going back and forth from the different realities was really good up until the last 1/4 of the book. It got muddled and confusing. All in all I didn’t regret listening to it but got a little frustrated at the end.

Unique with a side of predictable
Revisado: 10-16-21
At times the plot was predictable but it twisted in unexpected yet realistic ways. It was a nice twist on a period piece. Highly recommend. Would love to see this turn into a movie hah!

Narrators threw me off… But the story it was worth it
Revisado: 10-16-21
I found the concept to be intriguing and certainly refreshing. It was well thought out and kept you coming back for more. It was very well written however I didn’t love the narrators. I didn’t hate the narration enough to return the book though.

Historia
Laurie is sure love at first sight doesn't exist anywhere but the movies. But then, through a misted-up bus window one snowy December day, she sees a man who she knows instantly is the one. Their eyes meet, there's a moment of pure magic...and then her bus drives away. Certain they're fated to find each other again, Laurie spends a year scanning every bus stop and cafe in London for him. But she doesn't find him, not when it matters anyway. Instead they "reunite" at a Christmas party, when her best friend, Sarah, giddily introduces her new boyfriend: the man from the bus.

It drags on and goes absolutely nowhere good
Revisado: 09-22-21
I have four hours left. I cannot bring myself to finish it. The first few hours were enticing and interesting. I don’t know where it went wrong but my god, it is so dull and the voices of the two narrators are horrific. It honestly put me in a sour mood when I was listening to it yesterday because of how much time I had wasted. Skip this one.

Historia
Nine people gather at a remote health resort. Some are here to lose weight, some are here to get a reboot on life, some are here for reasons they can’t even admit to themselves. Amidst all of the luxury and pampering, the mindfulness and meditation, they know these ten days might involve some real work. But none of them could imagine just how challenging the next ten days are going to be.

If you’re not hooked in the first 3hrs…
Revisado: 09-15-21
… don’t waste another 11hrs. Like me. I kept having hope that it would get better or that there would be some awesome twist. It was not worth it and probably am going to take a break from Liane Moriarty after this one… very disappointing. Could have been a really good concept.

Historia
You have a fulfilling job, a great group of friends, the perfect apartment, and no shortage of dates. So what if you haven’t found The One just yet? Surely he’ll come along, right? But what if he doesn’t? Or even worse, what if he already has, but you just didn’t realize it? Lori Gottlieb said the unthinkable in her March 2008 article in The Atlantic: Maybe she, and single women everywhere, needed to stop chasing Prince Charming and instead go for Mr. Good Enough.

Repetitive
Revisado: 10-27-20
I appreciated her being candid but to a certain degree it was annoying. At times she would be self deprecating then at other times she was throwing herself a pity party. It just didn’t make sense. The fluidity was askew and the repetitiveness was too much! At points I would just turn down the volume because I wanted to get through the book but I was sick of her complaining! My takeaway is: if this topic is truly something you feel passionately about then go for it. If not, skip.
