Nightmarish superb horror

I like performance of narrators, story has fresh rmieagination of well known topic what I didn’t like is that adults and children suffer in this book the same.
I recommend it to who likes horror.

Brilliant

Absolutely loved it! I could write tons about it but perhaps I shouldn’t not to give up spoilers.

Beginning tries to introduce you to the universe and predominately succeeds. There were however two occasions when it was repetitive.
It does not give you much information at the start and it felt a little slow paced. Like walking in the dark room touching your way forward.

But then in the middle it shines as it brings up the pace.
Story grips you and never let’s go. There are revelations and twists in the story at the end when it all fits nicely together.

Alien perspective is a hallmark of authors genius and it truly shines. As well as perspective of little girl (which I failed miserably to capture on one occasion in literary contest I took part in).
Provides ethical side of living in post scarcity society clashing with struggling colony on half terraformed planet.

Splendid word craft and imagery.
Performance of the voice actress is of the highest quality. With only one occasion showing different sound as a result of a break in recording days.

Remarkable achievement from one of the greatest sci-fi writers.
Recommend it to every sci-fi fan.

Compelling story of hard sci-fi and imaginative story

Remarkable achievement of hard sci fi with imaginative story about saving humanity. Understandable language, intriguing engineering and chemistry problems, brimming with random facts. Great pacing and Great voice acting.

Cyberpunk done right

Let’s get the obligatory out of the way. Performance and audio quality are great.
Story is deep riveting and intimately human, problem for me was to distinguish all the Chinese names (sorry); and at the same time raw and abhorrent in showing what it means to be on the bottom of human society.

Comparison of “our standards” with future realities of silicone isle uncovers fascinating destructive effect that technology can have on our physical and psychic norms.

Absolutely read this.

Watch out spoiler ahead!

Reminds me of Cyberpunk 2077 Johnny Silverhand’s “life” story.

Captivating and highly imaginative

I review both books Ilium and Olympos which create a whole story. I love this book. What a gem! Story Is intricate and main characters are so believable and interesting. Thanks to authors writing skill and depth of imagination and poetic flair they have been elevated to true heroes and gods with their different personalities, traits, drivers, ethics being explored in many nerve wrecking situations which leave us readers hiding under a blanket or staring in amazement. There is no dull moment in this book, everything comes together in the end. What I liked especially was the end, it kept me listening at every possible occasion to learn the fates of our heroes. This book confirms authors credentials as one of the best sci-fi writers of the century.

Pretty good but left me unsatisfied

The previous 3 books were my favorite, so many great characters and interesting plot and subplot every chapter was full of action. I have re-listened them many times.
This one however is pretty good but nowhere near the previous levels. Mostly I have missed multiple interesting characters with their various interesting stories. Book 4 spent too much time traveling. Book 5 had interesting moments but there were few and far between and the feeling of awe from discovery was very limited compared to the other books. Ending is interesting and describes optimistically the possibilities for over arching story to maybe to continue in the future. Performance of Ray Porter is amazing.
Pretty good but left me only half satisfied after waiting for this book for so long. I hope we will have another one soon although author has been busy with other works and I have not heard about plans to continue with bobiverse.
