Not a complete work.

I had a hard time with the various changes in narrator, coupled with the seemingly random changes in story. With Drizzt’s name in the title I thought there would have been more on him, but he only accounted for maybe 40% or the “collected stories.” At that name it collected stories of the forgotten realms or something. This leaves much to be desired and I likely won’t be finishing this one. Not worth your credits.

Disjointed and starts in the middle

Initially listening to the book, it felt as though I was coming into a book halfway through. There wasn’t any gradual introduction to the different characters and the perspective changes with the chapter, not necessarily following any kind of chronological order. References are made to secondary characters as though were supposed to know their personality and preferences. This feels like it’s written in a larger series or recycling characters from somewhere else. If you’ve followed other works by this author you might be able to enjoy this work. If this is your first time with this author, perhaps a little research would do good for both of us.
