An intriguing paranormal world I cannot wait to delve deeper into. I am new to this author, and to be honest I am picky about my PNR, and Lola is definitely one I will look up previous books for. Damien and Blair have the typical beginning when fated mates are unwillingly thrust together (at least for one party)... refusal to let it be anything more than the mating, refusal to actually catch real feelings. But of course those nasty love feelings rear their heads. Damien is actually all-in in a way that makes your heart melt-luckily melting Blair's heart as well. There is some danger and suspense, but I was engrossed by the world building and want to see more of this world. I also enjoyed all the humor, and I am smiling now just thinking of the text chain.... which you'll have to read/listen to learn more about. Narrators brought the story to life.

I'll admit I have mixed feelings. I guess it was Roman's immaturity at times, which was part of the point of the book--him growing up-which is why I ended up settling on 4 stars (rounding up from 3.5). He definitely seemed spastic which isn't a good look on a mobster, but Marchella helped smooth those edges once he started opening up. I think that is one thing I did like about the book-they communicated although it took a bit to get there. There was definitely a lot of insane moments though, as you'd expect in a mafia story. Narrators did a good job.

Finally, Hush's story on audio

I've been wanting to hear Hush's story since he first appeared in the first Viking's MC series. There was no denying the quiet, broody, but loyal biker had heartbreak in his past. The excitement when I saw that it was finally made into audio was high. Seek is a strong, independent woman very adept at search and rescue, which is how these two crossed paths. This is an emotional ride as Hush struggles with his ongoing grief and unwanted attraction to Seek, while his MC brothers stick their noses in his business out of their love for him. With danger and edge of your seat suspenseful moments, this story kept me captivated while developing the plot points that will continue throughout the series. No worries, these two get their happy ending, but I am anxious for the next books to see how this crew with destroy the threats coming. The narrators brought the characters to life.

Anna knocked it out of the park with this first book of the second generation! I just wish I was better at remembering all the parents' stories-I gotta get a cheat sheet! Jameson is so much like his father. I absolutely love so much about the children and their interactions, etc. Greer is a tough independent woman who knows what-or rather who-she wants. The steam is there when these two finally give in. A fast-paced story full of the danger, action, and edge of your seat suspense you expect. I laughed and succumbed to heart stopping moments while these two found their way to their happy ending. Narrators terrifically brought the story to life.

Gio and Aria's story captivated me from the beginn

Gio and Aria's story captivated me from the beginning. Aria has basically endured a form of torture (definitely see trigger warnings because even though I read and listen to stories that touch on these atrocities all the time, this hit me harder), and Gio becomes a guardian angel for her. And even though he tries to keep from falling for her to protect her even more, the heart wants what it wants.... Gio being from a mob family creates some serious obstacles and heart break on top of all the insane secrets revealed from Aria's past. Emotions bled through so well at times-props to the narrators for such a terrific job. The road was incredibly bumpy, but these two find a beautiful happy ending that made me smile as it was painted in my mind's eye.

I liked that it was a quick listen, but now I'm definitely ready to know what's next for them! Narrators brought these characters to life.

Not what I was expecting! But definitely gripped my attention. Mateo and Aria have the tension you'd expect from being forced to stay somewhere you don't want to be, but their love becomes so real. There were a lot of situations that made me a little standoffish, but it is a mafia book so that is typical. Narrators brought the characters to life.

Always fun watching grumpiest guys fall

Jasper and Lyndee have history, but never expected to see other again after college. Maybe fate had a hand? How else would they end up with businesses across the street from each other? It's always fun to watch the grumpiest 'no time for love' guys fall hard, and this story didn't disappoint. Lyndee turned Jasper into a sweetheart for her. Her brother also had a significant role that made the story that much better. Narration brought these characters to life from the pages.

I'm definitely all in with this series! Ryder and Annabelle's story drew me in. Opposites at face value, they're actually perfect for each other. Ryder is so caring once he gets to know her and realizes the battles she's fighting with her conniving father. The path was rocky, but a silly smile worthy happy ending was won. I'm excited to listen to Ryder's brothers stories in the future. Narrators brought the characters to life.

Graham and Kat take a journey that feels a lot like real life. Both dealing with heartbreak and betrayal that leaves them wanting nothing to do with another relationship, they cross paths and have to reconcile that maybe their perfect person does exist, if they'll only take the chance. The broken path takes them to an HEA with narrators bringing the characters to life.
