This is simultaneously derivative and fresh. I know, it sounds contradictory. Hear me out; this is only derivative by today’s standards.
This story has a ton of heart in it that carries the reader through the plot. The world also brings us in with the vivid detail and attention the author brings to the tale.
I am heading into the next novel right away, I hope you come along with me.

coolest Vampires

This is the second in the series and a perfect follow up to Necroscope. I am so thrilled to have found this series. It is a truly unique spin on Vampire lore. I highly recommend this series to everyone I talk stories with.

Beautiful Horror Story.

I admittedly have just found out about this author after reading--(or listening? ah, nevermind) his entry in an anthology. I loved that story so much I used a credit on this novel as it was said to be a Cosmic Horror novel.
I was actually at a loss for word after the final paragraph. Not a single novel has managed to do that to me since "Pet Sematary." This is now one of my favorite reads of the last decade. READ IT.

Dark and deep.

This is a Horror story that to me, is one of Mr. King's best when it comes to true horror. Most of Mr. King's novels aren't particularly scary to me, they are just good stories. In fact, most horror novels are not scary to me. This on however, is definitely on the scarier side.
Pet Sematary is full of rich characters (a Stephen King trademark) and brooding prose that raises the tension from page one when Creed muses on ditching his family. From that point on one knows that no happy endings will be forthcoming.
Michael C. Hall does a wonderful job reading this book. I particularly enjoyed his version of Judd. I think he may have enjoyed the film too.
Anyway, I suggest that if you are curious enough to read this review then you should just take the dice and get it.

This was a dark yet compelling storyline. I very much enjoyed the protagonists and the vague backstory, it made me interested in what motivates the characters.

I can't believe it is over.

This has been, without a doubt, my favorite series. I have read and re-read each book numerous times. It has never become tired or boring. The characters a rich and thoroughly imagined.
This book in particular was a delight to read. A perfect conclusion to what has been an epic series.
Thank you MR. Brett for the wonderful story. I also say, thank you to MR. Bradbury, for bringing the characters to life.
I am sad that it is over, but I will read them again. Over and over. "As sure as the sun rises."
