the underage stuff gross (grooming)
the hole "everyone will use you but not me" except that's is exactly what she's doing.
trigger warning talking about rape or that there going to be raped in different situations
the word naive was yes so much I don't think they know what is means.

I am native but will never be accepted as one. this book helped me see that it's ok. I am still native no matter what anyone says. I know some of my ancestors stories and I will make sure I learn more of the traditional ways to honor them.

Main character was so annoying

The main character was so annoying. I just didn’t care about her or her feelings at the end. I don’t know why anyone would like her.

Everyone in this book is manipulative, I just couldn’t finish it. DJ is a horrible person. Would not recommend.

I like the author and the story. I read the book previously and I liked it so I was excited to have it on audible. However I couldn’t finish listening. The narrator just wasn’t for me.

I like this story except….SPOILER

So it starts out with her waking up after having been drugged. She then realizes it was her coworker (in order to put her in play for the undercover work). Which leads me to my problem. I wasn’t expecting that and it caused flashbacks and panic attacks. So with the exception of the beginning I liked the book.

Stalker

I only got as far as chapter 6. The main character goes from a serious investigative journalist with no knowledge of art or fashion to a stalker. It doesn’t feel like love it feels like the viewpoint of an emotional stunted and stressed person clinging on to their last hope for a future of fame and fortunes as a journalist. She fixated on the target (a reclusive emotional fragile artist) so much that she imagined a connection with this person then inserted herself in their life.
