Historia
Having escaped from prison, serial killer Edmund Cox returns to his hometown of Killen. Entering the woods with his “darlings” in his pocket, he begins a new quest along the Hollow River, hoping to make good on one final deal with The River Man. What Edmund doesn’t realize is he’s not going alone. Keith Drakeson is one of the police detectives who hunted Cox the first time around, and he considers the killer’s escape an insult to his legacy.

A Perfect Continuation
Revisado: 10-30-23
This book was the perfect continuation to Triana's Gone to See the River Man. Brugee was the perfect narrator for this and captured the different characters' voices very well. Long worth the wait for part II, you will not be disappointed!

An absolute must read for horror fans
Revisado: 06-29-23
Absolutely loved this one! Might be among Triana's finest. The narrator captured all of the characters so well. The story left me with literal chills and had me unable to stop listening. The plot twists will leave you wondering how it all comes together to its finale. A must read for splatterpunk fans! You won't be disappointed.

Historia
From the perilous ocean crossing to the shared bounty of the first Thanksgiving, the Pilgrim settlement of New England has become enshrined as our most sacred national myth. Yet, as best-selling author Nathaniel Philbrick reveals in his spellbinding new book, the true story of the Pilgrims is much more than the well-known tale of piety and sacrifice; it is a 55-year epic that is at once tragic, heroic, exhilarating, and profound.

As a native New Englander, this piece answers so many holes that are untold in this area. It is an absolute must read and Philbrick illustrates it beautifully.

Absolutely loved it and the narrators were fantastic. Just noting trigger warning for SA, DA, and pedophilia. Excellent perspectives of the human experience, definitely worth the read!

Such a beautiful story. Predictable but so lovely and feel good, the whole book is like a hug. Similar to A Man Called Ove. If you are considering, so worth the credit!

Not as good as the others
Revisado: 01-21-22
I will start by saying that I loved the other books in this series, however this one seemed to miss the mark. Liza was a really insufferable character and it was hard to feel sympathetic towards her but she is more passive in the other novels. All of the novels in this series are very feel good and wholesome, but this one seemed a bit of a stretch and Liza's character ruined it. Couldn't wait for this one to end! Such a shame.

Historia
A middle-aged man returns to his childhood home to attend a funeral. He is drawn to the farm at the end of the road, where, when he was seven, he encountered a most remarkable girl, Lettie Hempstock. Forty years earlier, a man committed suicide in a stolen car at this farm at the end of the road. Like a fuse on a firework, his death lit a touchpaper and resonated in unimaginable ways. The darkness was unleashed, something scary and thoroughly incomprehensible to a little boy. And Lettie - magical, comforting, wise beyond her years - promised to protect him, no matter what.

Strange and unfulfilling
Revisado: 06-06-21
Based on the other reviews I thought I would give this one a go. It seemed promising at first but I found the story to be confusing and meddling too much in fantasy that I lost track of anything that was actually going on. The writer/narrator kind of put me to sleep anyway, but I found it hard to focus and like I had to jump into this imaginary world without a grain of context. Don't waste a credit on this story.

Historia
At times stern, at other times patient, at times perceptive, at other times in sad denial, Olive Kitteridge, a retired schoolteacher, deplores the changes in her little town of Crosby, Maine, and in the world at large, but she doesn’t always recognize the changes in those around her: a lounge musician haunted by a past romance; a former student who has lost the will to live; Olive’s own adult child, who feels tyrannized by her irrational sensitivities; and her husband, Henry, who finds his loyalty to his marriage both a blessing and a curse.
