This series was amazing all around! One of my favorites of 2024.
But this book was my favorite of the series! Holden is everything you would want in a book boyfriend!

I laughed, I cried.. I cried some more, and then put back together.

This story was so impactful.
It’s about love & loss, and finding yourself through the grief, and moving forward.

It was worth every single tear.

The narrators were phenomenal!

So many emotions

Dallas and Dean..
They met in High school, Reconnected in college, and had a whirlwind of a year together. They knew each other were the one.. but it all fell apart when Dean left for medical school. 7 years later and he’s back for the other half of his heart.

They have a lot to overcome.. and have Family Loss & Illness to endure together.

Be prepared to cry!

Enrico & Isla.

Loved learning more about Enrico and what drives him in life, when he meets the gorgeous red head Isla, he learns what it means to truly love someone.

Loved the female narrator, she did a great job and sounded perfect for Isla.
Really did not like the male narrator. Enrico is supposed to be Italian, therefore he should have an Italian accent?
The male narrator sounded too mature for the part, and had no accent at all.

What an amazing story!
I loved so many things about this book!
The hilarious moments, the realness, the relatability of finding yourself.

West & Skyler have such a strong connection, and I love the vulnerability they both share with one another.

The narration was PHENOMENAL.
I LOVED the songs in the book! ❤️

This is book 2 in the ‘Beneath the secrets’ series..And it did not disappoint!

Nikolai is a single widowed father, who’s 2nd in command in the Bratva, and Mila is a contract
k!ller on a mission to save her brother.
She creates an alias to get close to him, in order to fulfill what she’s been told to do.
But.. She catches feelings for Nikolai and wants to protect him & Alaina (his daughter)

The narrators were phenomenal! And I loved the song choices before each chapter.

Pretty good Mafia romance, they were childhood sweethearts, and her family fled to the U.S when she was 17.
10 years pass and he’s seeking vengeance and she’s the key component.

I liked the story line, but I didn’t care for the narrator’s, especially the male.. and the fact that they’re supposedly from Italy, but yet they have no accents? Don’t speak Italian?

This book absolutely SHATTERED me at parts.
It’s a truly tragic story, filled with the highest emotions, and their lowest lows. It is very well written, in the way it shows the depth of their feelings.

To the author- I am so happy you shared this story with us, and that it kept you here. I’m now a huge fan of your writing!

OKAY, I WARNED YOU.


I knew going in that it wasn’t a HEA.
I KNEW.
But, I feel that with the amount of trauma they both endured, especially Elena.. that the ending could have been different.
I feel like they deserved to have some peace.
It could have ended with her dad (her hero!) dying and that would have been a tragic ending in itself.
(My mom died of stage 4 metastatic lung cancer in the same places, and it was truly horrific.)

Like.. I KNOW why it ended the way it did, I KNOW. I understand!
But, I feel like Christian, Elena & Caroline deserved some happiness in the end after all of that.
Especially poor Caroline.

Just when you think Joe Arden can’t get any better.

Wow! Just wow!! What a book. There was so much that happened between Malachi & Olivia, and just when you think all is lost between them.. Bam! Another twist.

Both narrators in this book were phenomenal!! Joe truly outdid himself with this one.

One think that drove me kind of nuts was the repetition of the relation between them.
“You’re my brother!”

Otherwise, great story!
