really cringe at times

Would have been a solid 4 stars, really good action, nice intensity and story, good characters, except between the almost fan fiction like opening and other shorter but similar parts. It just had too many parts that made me cringe.

Perfect

This was just... almost perfect. I rarely say this but its true. I personally would have slightly preferred a more dungeon core like structure with the farm being upgraded gradually but this was good to. And the ending was just the perfect lampshade.

Interesting yet Very Boring

So basically it was very unique so it was interesting in an academic since. But nothing really happened. It was slow plod through the slice of life of a married couple while a ghost tried to use cold spots and stuff to scare them to death.

I couldnt care about the married couple because I figured they would die, and I couldnt care about the ghost because he was the bad guy. Which left literally nothing to entertain me once the novelty of the ghost system wore off.

I almost gave it a 3 star but its not like I was bored with it. Its more like the longer the book went the less focused and more unraveled it became. I personally love a good juxtaposition of light hearted and dark elements mixed well. But it doesnt seem mixed well. I dont know.

A litrpg with no stats and unrealistic women

So same as my last review except the lack of a financial goal is increasingly hurting it but more importantly the women are just... painfully unrealistic. They act like men, falling all over themselves over a guy's body in the way men might lust after a woman's body. Its just weird and unrealistic.

A litrpg minus the stats

This is just a straightforward economic litrpg type narrative with the main character grinding his way up his skills and levels and relationships. No muss no fuss no numbers. All its really missing though are financial goals. Making money doesnt matter without some goal for the readers to measure progresd against.

My only two complaints are

1. Wierdly enough there was not near enough attention given to the main character Pulsivar.

2. Most of the book is cute and entertaining and witty. Which would have 5 starred it. But I cant see the future books keeping anything near the same tone. Not only was the ending dark but... I dont think there will be anymore children to act as an innocent foil. Plus Threadbear's last upgrade reduces his natural cute factor.

Not amazing, not bad

Well it didnt have me laughing or gripped. It wasnt thought provoking nor insightful. It was almost boring. Almost.

Just like Robert's opinion of being a butler, I found the book oddly satisfying. Its not an excellent book but its a good one.

Running out of material

Very little of this book was actually devoted to the biodungeon. I think the writers are running out of ideas. But the body isnt quite complex enough for a full trilogy it seems.
