Great narration and story, books aren't written like this anymore! The book is especially interesting given how the Cold War, and the brutalities of socialist ideologies, are beginning to be glossed over.

I read this novel and enjoyed it so much I wanted to listen to the audio version. Unfortunately, the narrator's voice was very difficult to understand and used emphasis in a way that sounded off to me. I struggled to finish the audio version. Great story but not in this version.

I am not sure what this story was about and I'm still confused with the cast of characters. I tried listening knowing fantasy isn't my preferred genre, and it reinforced that sentiment. I also found certain points of the story near heretical. Overall, this was not for me and I won't recommend.

The premise of the story about D & E having dreams only lasts a short part of the book. You're then thrust into a rather boring telling of a story where Mr Bennet is everything horrible and Elizabeth's uncles are helpful. My biggest disappointment is that this story reads like a shopping list with someone just telling information. The author doesn't show us thoughts or feelings, just states everything as fact. Characters are one dimensional and there isn't any real story arch. I don't understand the high ratings.

This is one of those books that sucks you in from the first chapter. The writing is crisp and the story is compelling, and in some ways unbelievable, as only true stories can be. The narration was fantastic.

Harry Frost is an outstanding narrator and did a fantastic job. The story was somewhat lackluster, although it started out promising. All the real conflict is resolved very early in the book and the rest of the story was then boring and at times didn't have a plot. Some of the side stories made sense, and others were superfluous. Elizabeth was too perfect and not the witty, stubborn, and able to grow character I love from the original.

SPOILER: Georgiana is a spoiled brat (which I frankly think she was im the original) and I don't think Darcy or his family truly acknowledged her flaws. Lydia is always portrayed as irredeemable, which she may be, but Georgiana is given so much more benefit of the doubt.

Interesting and fast moving variation, with a talented narrator. I enjoyed how Darcy and Elizabeth had to work especially hard to communicate and that each had to face their own failings and misconceptions.

The trilogy by Pamela Aidan is the best Pride and Prejudice variation, in my opinion. I've re-read the books multiple times and listened to the audio version more than once as well. The story is intriguing, unique but true to canon, and the narrator does an excellent job.

the main narrator's voice wasn't my favorite, but the female narrator who randomly chimed in was just awful. the plot wasn't anything great and there were a lot of holes in the premise. struggled to finish
