Laurie did her best to make this interesting, but unfortunately it just wasn't.
I had a very difficult time suspending disbelief. The emails and chat logs that make up this book are written in overly flowery language, and as a result didn't feel much at all like people communicating with each other. It was more like an ai writing how it thought lesbians flirted after reading too many romance novels.
The violence and sexual content came off more as gratuitous torture porn than actual plot. If you want splatter, there's better options.
