Pizza, coffee, and a library full of unplayed games. That's the plan, or at least it was supposed to be. Instead, an average gamer finds himself seemingly transported into the world of his favorite game. While some might appreciate that, it's quickly apparent that he isn't in some sort of virtual reality experiment, all of his downloaded mods are active, and the world is likely set to its highest difficulty with permadeath enabled.

Is it real or a Game?

The book reminds me of the concept of the Jumanji movie where you basically enter a game in real. The details of the path to move forward, activity and characters in the Video game have been explained, making it easier for the reader not to be lost in the vast array of tasks waiting for the lead.
Filled with a few funny moments, a lot of action-packed sites and a cute pet, most of the book was a great read. I did not however like the overindulgence of sexual descriptions in the book making it too smutty for my preference. A little disclaimer around it will help attract the right audience. Another important part is that it ends on a cliffhanger, so you will have to wait for the other parts to get full closure.

I enjoyed the premise in both books in this series. From an important plot perspective spending some time at a mansion to gain the inheritance, reminded me of the Inheritance book series.
The main protagonist's character traits are something that made reading this book worth the while. She and her sassy replies on savage situations seemed funny to me, and I laughed out loud to catch a few stares in the room.
I would have liked it more, had there not been so much to on fro on*** certain events {to keep it spoiler free}.

Pretty Good

A short book about a woman who thought she will never go back to her hometown because she was accused of murder there, but look how the tables turned. She has a mysterious inheritance that needs to be claimed and for that, she needs to stay 1 day at the huge mansion filled with vampires, werewolves and whatnot.
The writing in the book is so energetic, you will be continually be turning pages. The plot setting is also magical+mundane which reminds me of HP settings. The ending, however, I don't know why ... that happened. I tried going back and forth but was still not satisfied with the turn of events in the last 20% of the book. But the tropes in the book were bang-on adorable. The female main protagonist - No colour restrictions, no age restrictions, no weight loss propaganda.! Worked out pretty well for me.

Twisted Tale

A cute and short twisted tale of your fairytale love. There were some similarities in here to tie this story to the actual Beauty and the Beast. The author placed the constructs as per the short story premise and did not complicate things by having too many characters, which I think was a smart move. I wished the story was a little longer though, as I was enjoying reading it.

The book is a collection of multiple stories about Cats and Magic. I found the book full of adventures and high spirits. Definitely a good pick for one of those days when you don't want to step outside the house, but still want to have a whimsical experience.
I was contemplating initially how would I feel about reading the works of so many authors in a single place. But I am glad I picked this up, the stories give us a lot of variations on the baseline, and I real;y appreciate the creativity. After back-to-back average reads finally I stumbled upon something that makes me happy!
