Historia
For a thousand years the ash fell and no flowers bloomed. For a thousand years the Skaa slaved in misery and lived in fear. For a thousand years the Lord Ruler, the "Sliver of Infinity," reigned with absolute power and ultimate terror, divinely invincible. Then, when hope was so long lost that not even its memory remained, a terribly scarred, heart-broken half-Skaa rediscovered it in the depths of the Lord Ruler's most hellish prison.

How to delegate a rebellion
Revisado: 11-19-24
There are a lot of bullet points as to why this book is amazing and there is a lot of ground to cover. First off, Kelsier is so amazing, this man went through hell and has the cunning to pull off a rebellion by Ocean's 11ing the whole scenario. In name alone that man has so much power and I loved the constant philosophical banter throughout the book that helped his plan come into play.
I loved Vinn as the strong female protagonist who stepped from rags to warrior with paced character development. This book can be long and expands out but it kept my attention and wanting more as the chapters went on. Allomancy is the bomb and the book through me for a loop with the twisted resolution parts of the book. So excited for book 2! Thank you Brandon Sanderson

Basic Beavers
Revisado: 11-19-24
This book was good. The secondary characters were pretty enjoyable, its like scp but with fae creatures. I like me a bit of government secret ghost organization in world building of a romance. My problem is with the couple. You have the insecure niave nymph with the conventionally attractive business accounting man trope. It was resolved easily for the conflict. I just think the Nymph was a bit dramatic. The most memorable parts are with the Mayor who is also a werebear. The jokes against this poor guy literally made the book memorable.

Aurora isn't compelling
Revisado: 11-04-21
I really love Cora Carmack's world building and the foundation of the Stormlings and the magic system
Caelira, Pavan, and Locke all the other kingdoms are awesome!
My favorite part of the story has to be the secondary characters. Cassius, Jinx, Novice, Duke, and Sly are the best characters so far in the story.
Locke has a good foundation and I liked his stern training demeanor and he understands the importance of what is means to be a storm hunter.
Aurora, Rora, or Roar. This character obviously was designed to be the naive protagonist who learns her way into the world by getting out and exploring it and discovering her magics. My complaint is she is very basic. She has stereotpical protagonist syndrome, she is underneath it all a "chosen one". gets the dark and harden guy.
My favorite part about the whole story is Cassius, this guy is dark, broody, has ulterior motives. He does it to get out of his father's control, out of his brother's shadow. he is no different than Aurora, but his motivations are more genuine. This man deserves every happiness. secretly he's a good person

excellent
Revisado: 10-26-21
This story holds a very compelling tale of changing the way of thier world. I really enjoyed the border of will they won't they between River and Camzen.
Showing us the perspective of River did make the story more likable and allowing certain ghost characters to make amends.
I didn't like Tem. he was a mediocre character as we all know the best friend trope is overused and the constant love triangle hints were useless. I also feel like the biggest twist was the deal with "Captain " Elan and Lucia. Really didn't see that coming, also isn't that guy really old ?🤔.
The narrator Priya Ayyar was a little annoying when she had to do shouting dialog was improved from the first book.but needs a bit of different pitch couldn't tell which characters were talking sometimes.

A spiritual romance
Revisado: 10-26-21
I love how the relationship with Tarkin and Okiko expanded in a soul bonded relationship. The story forces the characters to separate through sacrifice but its destiny that they belong together.
It's good you get to see him try to attempt at a normal life however being a lover of the supernatural horror I do appreciate that how they made the dynamic of the story and the finale very symbiotic.

And WHAT A Memorable time in Babel!
Revisado: 10-12-21
I absolutely hands down loved this story. Christelle Dabos has outdone her previous books And has once again astounded sounded my passions for reading out the door.
The story starts with us coming back and recapping the events of the the missing of the Claire DE lune. You definitely feel the pain you felt when that story had ended Was it's cliff hanger leaving so many unanswered question. This story Made all of the characters grow exponentially. My favorite part… Spoilers here… is When you get the satisfaction of certain characters reuniting in this story. When Ophelia 1st began her journey in the mirror visitor series she was very naive very naive she was very Annoying at times because of that naivety.
This story is about Ophelia resolving Some of her issues that she has come to conflict with in the last 2 books. You get some answers about What's important through the story and also the climax in the delivery of it was very suave.
The ending of this book will leave you satisfied enough until the storm of echoes comes out. I am so excited to read the next volume. The narrator was phenomenal throughout the whole journey from book one to book 3.

Revisado: 10-04-21
When I started this series it really intrigued me about how Danny and Colton's relationship was going to blossom. They went through a lot more than anticipated in this book. I felt like some parts in this story felt rushed, a lot of death, I appreciated the climax before the epilogue. Some of the female characters in this story had a lot of potential but I feel that Daphne Richard's deserved more than she had gotten in the story her character development fell flat halfway through the story. Tara Sim does write these characters up and the world amazingly and with finesse. It felt like The only person who really got what they wanted in this book was Danny, I am a sucker for HEA but I do have to say but the time logic didn't make much sense. It seemed paradoxical. Critics aside, the Narrator was amazing all the way. The Story was a good conflict build up, some of the antagonistic stuff was so so, would definitely recommend.

Rin Chupeco has out done herself. I did enjoy the Bone Witch but the Twist ending left me feeling Hollow. This story does take a bit of time but when you get to the climax. Damn this story gets good, it does have its sad moments but we get braced for the epic conclusion of this series.

A curve ball
Revisado: 09-17-21
This story begins as a sad one. As the author tries to compel you into a interesting fairytale. It brings you into the perspective of Brandon and his grief. The story isn't about Brandon its about everyone else. It's a bit deceptive in the beginning.
Brandon lives as a hermit and is then introduced to Od who tells him of his gift of magic.
Then when he goes to the big city to Ods school. You get some interesting characters who have forgettable roles and it's hard to keep the perspectives straight at times.
It's not a terrible story, but it does leave some unanswered questions.

Revisado: 09-15-21
This story is definitely twisty. In the good way, feels like a very traditional plot line, but it does have a lot of redeeming qualities. Zoya and Nikolai side of the story was awesome. the darkling plot is pretty me. The cameos you do get in this story set up for a much anticipated sequel for a birdy crew. ;)
My only complaints is that Nina story felt short and feels like her and Hana's journey set thier character development to a flatline after awhile.
The romance feels a bit angsty at times, but is definitely better than king of scars.
Definitely recommend though.
