Historia
Twenty-four-year-old truck stop waitress and single mother Catherine Wright has simple goals: to give her five-year-old daughter a happy life and to never again be the talk of the town in Balsam, Pennsylvania (population 3,000 outside of tourist season). And then one foggy night, on a lonely road back from another failed date, Catherine saves a man's life. It isn't until after the police have arrived that Catherine realizes exactly who it is she has rescued: Brett Madden, hockey icon and media darling.

Good Read
Revisado: 09-14-19
I enjoyed this book every bit as much as all the K. A, Tucker books. I feel bad for the narrator as the director gave her a part that her voice was not suited for. Her reading is smooth with great articulation and awesome distinction between characters but her voice did not fit the main character and that's on the director not the narrator. Other wise great book

Historia
The Girl of Sugar Beach is the most watched documentary in television history - a riveting, true-life mystery that unfolds over 12 weeks and centers on a fascinating question: Did Grace Sebold murder her boyfriend, Julian, while on a Spring Break vacation, or is she a victim of circumstance and poor police work? Grace has spent the last 10 years in a St. Lucian prison, and reaches out to filmmaker Sidney Ryan in a last, desperate attempt to prove her innocence. As Sidney begins researching, she uncovers issues that were all overlooked during the original investigation.

Loved the book

I loved the story line. It kept me thinking but the ending left me hanging. Hope the author did this with a sequel in mind. Otherwise I didn’t like the ending I don’t like to be left hanging.

Not Realistic
Revisado: 08-03-18
I get it that a story is make believe but seriously shouldn't it somewhat resemble real life. I may be way out there but if my child was abducted, the last thing on my mind would be sex and just saying for this author guess she thinks it's way more on a moms mind than finding her child. Too much between the sheets and not enough reflection of what real life might be. Less is more

Would you listen to Small Great Things again? Why?
What a great book and a great way to help all of us engage in a self check as to how we treat others. I would say I don't see myself as racist but after your poignant prolog I will have some serious self reflection.

Unemployed at 29, Tess Monaghan is willing to take any freelance job to pay the rent—including a bit of unorthodox snooping for her rowing buddy, Darryl "Rock" Paxton. In a city where someone is murdered almost every day, attorney Michael Abramowitz's death should be just another statistic. But the slain lawyer's notoriety—and his noontime trysts with Rock's fiancée—make the case front page news...and point to Rock as the likely murderer. But trying to prove her friend's innocence could prove costly to Tess.

This story is so. . . slow
Revisado: 06-19-16
What would have made Baltimore Blues better?
This story is so slow I couldn't get past the first couple hours. Could not finish because it was impossible to get into it.
Would you ever listen to anything by Laura Lippman again?
I don't know
Would you be willing to try another one of Deborah Hazlett’s performances?
She was fine just reading a book with no hook.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
I'm not sure as I couldn't get into it.

Good Book! Why did they change readers at the end
Revisado: 02-05-16
What did you love best about Coming Home?
I liked the relationships.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I like Jill and Kate equally
What about Holly Fielding’s performance did you like?
I thought she was too soft at the beginning of the series but came to really appreciate the way she brought the individual characters to life. Why did they put another reader in at the end. NOT a good direction. Ruined the end for me. :-(
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No I enjoyed the pace and it filled great time on my drive to and from work.
