Historia
FitzChivalry - royal bastard and former king’s assassin - has left his life of intrigue behind. As far as the rest of the world knows, FitzChivalry Farseer is dead and buried. Masquerading as Tom Badgerlock, Fitz is now married to his childhood sweetheart, Molly, and leading the quiet life of a country squire. Though Fitz is haunted by the disappearance of the Fool, who did so much to shape Fitz into the man he has become, such private hurts are put aside in the business of daily life, at least until the appearance of menacing, pale-skinned strangers casts a sinister shadow over Fitz’s past...and his future.

Good narrator (yes, really)
Revisado: 01-25-18
I would just like to comment on the narrator who is getting alot of undeserved slaughtering reviews.
I dreaded starting to listen to this book because of all the shit reviews it got on the narrator. To my pleasant surprise, this book was a breeze to listen through.
Yes it is a new narrator again, as the two previous Fitz trilogies had different narrators.
Yes, he did say a few names slightly different than one of the previous narrators, but the two previous ones were not better, since they pronounced different names different as well.
Yes, he does whisper skill conversations, but that is not nearly as irritating as some people claims, they have just decided that they really hate that it is a new narrator. It actually makes sense in my opinion, because it differs itself from other dialogue in the book.
He does many different voices, with different accents. They have slight differences in pitch and speed as well, enough for me to easily follow conversations without confusion.
I like his interpretation of fitz voice. Fitz is considerably older an more burdened than the previous stories, and the narrator shows this very well in my opinion.
The other main character of this book is also well interpreted without spoiling anything.
If you have listened through the rainwild chronicles before this book (which you really should've done, since they belong in the timeline between this trilogy and the golden fool trilogy), and not to mention the liveship traders, you're used to different narrators. This narrator is not even close to the most difficult performance to get used to. I enjoyed it from beginning to end.

Historia
Dragon blood and scales, dragon liver and eyes and teeth. All required ingredients for medicines with near-miraculous healing powers. The legendary blue dragon Tintaglia is dying of wounds inflicted by hunters sent by the Duke of Chalced, who meanwhile preserves his dwindling life by consuming the blood of the dragon’s poet Selden Vestrit.

Great book, good narrator
Revisado: 12-22-17
I loved this book, listened with every opportunity I had and finished it quicker than any earlier book I've listened to.
After listening to four of her narrations, I've come to think that Anne Flosnik is a good narrator. If you've heard her work with the liveship traders, you'll scarcely notice her peculiarities. If this is your first time listening to her work, it'll take some time to get into the groove.

Historia
Wizardwood, a sentient wood. The most precious commodity in the world. Like many legendary wares, it comes only from the Rain River Wilds. But how can one trade with the Rain Wilders, when only a liveship, fashioned from wizardwood, can negotiate the perilous waters of the Rain River? Rare and valuable, a liveship will quicken only when three members, from successive generations, have died on board. The liveship Vivacia is about to undergo her quickening, as Althea Vestrit’s father is carried on deck in his death-throes.

You get used to the narration
Revisado: 08-19-17
The story is good, would not recommend skipping it and go directly to the next fitz trilogy like I did. Many things has import for the next fitz chapters.
It's slow to begin with. Took me almost three weeks to finish the first twentyish chapters. Then suddenly it picked up and I finished the last third of the book in a day! The slow parts are necessary though, to get to know the characters for the last part to be exiting.
The preformance of Anne Flosnik is ridiculous to begin with and it seems impossible that it will become bearable, but it does. It is even good at some points! Bottom line is, I recommend this book to anyone wondering if it's worth it.

Good story and narrator
Revisado: 04-02-17
Liked the story, finished the book rather quickly. People seem to complain about the narrator, but I cant say that I agree. At some points every now and then he seems to not pause when it seems he should've, but other than that I find his narration good.

Superb
Revisado: 12-15-16
Bought this book with a randomish credit throwing. To my surprise, it is the most exciting book I've listened to since I got Audible. Story is thrilling, and I had trouble putting it away. Narrator is also good, nothing to complain about there.
