Historia

Bella storia e letta bene
Revisado: 11-29-23

Feels so useful that I'll end up studying it!
Revisado: 12-04-17
Loved it, as it reduces so many practical and common problems to easy to applicable algorithms, in an intuitive way, without getting too much into the math.
Since the first chapter, I knew I would listen to this book again and again, to make its concepts a part of my way of analyzing everyday life.
Heartily recommend this book to everyone!

Sparked by a controversial debate in February 2014, Bill Nye has set off on an energetic campaign to spread awareness of evolution and the powerful way it shapes our lives. In Undeniable: Evolution and the Science of Creation, he explains why race does not really exist; evaluates the true promise and peril of genetically modified food; reveals how new species are born, in a dog kennel and in a London subway; takes a stroll through 4.5 billion years of time; and explores the new search for alien life, including aliens right here on Earth.

Knowing Neil from TV interviews, I expected some more funny storytelling. Nonetheless it's a great book for those like me who are novice in this field.

Historia
One hundred thousand years ago, at least six human species inhabited the Earth. Today there is just one. Us. Homo sapiens. How did our species succeed in the battle for dominance? Why did our foraging ancestors come together to create cities and kingdoms? How did we come to believe in gods, nations, and human rights; to trust money, books, and laws; and to be enslaved by bureaucracy, timetables, and consumerism?

Historia
America's blueprint for mass education has been followed across the globe - yet international student assessments show that achievement varies sharply, with the US and much of Europe typically scoring average at best. Not surprisingly, this state of affairs has sparked anxieties about an educational crisis. The problem, if there is one, is highly complex, and in these 24 thought-provoking lectures led by an associate professor of comparative and international education, you'll take a meaningful look at education around the world to understand why.

Repeats the same concept over and over
Revisado: 10-29-15
Interesting subject, but when it gets to details, it repeats the same concept with different words and similar examples so many times that I feel like listening the first chapters world have given me the same level of knowledge.
