I rarely rate a book a 5 but this one truly changed my life. The author is incredibly insightful. I listened to it but the narrator put a heavy interpretive spin on the story that at times diminished the story. I'm going to read the print version as I think it will be more pure.

Absolutely. It is a work of art. The prose, the story, the narration .... I hated it to end

Too many to name just one
Have you listened to any of Frank Muller???s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No but I wish I had. I will definitely look for others. Best narrator I have ever listened to and I have been listening to audio books for years ! Sorry to hear he is no longer with us.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
At 22 hrs that would have been a bit much but it did distract me for several days!!

You will not be sorry you purchased this one. In a world of quickly written, unintelligent fiction, Conroy is a breath of fresh air. I have read all his books twice and will now listen to them on tape.

It was insulting to my intelligence - anyones's for that matter. Why did it even get published? Absolutely ridiculous. More than a waste of money, a waste of time - I truly thought there was something redeeming that was going to happen at the end - like realizing how inane these women were and them finding a better way to deal with their issues.
