Historia
A popular question in philosophy is "How do I know I exist?" That seems really boring, though. How about, "How can I use logic to get over my ex?" If you really love wisdom, you love it in all situations - you don't need to be spoon fed unsolved problems in philosophy, because you're already analyzing the US Weekly you’re reading or your kinda significant other. Sarah Heuer and Chrissy Stockton are writers living in Minneapolis who are determined to do something more interesting with their philosophy degrees than talk about dead white guys.

Any additional comments?
It is easy to belittle and berate this book, honestly it wasn't worth the free price, but it wasn't without some redeeming values. The way the author presented herself as enlightened and better than you because she is a philosopher was off-putting, practical experience has shown me at least that a philosopher is not often the most intelligent person in the room only the most likely to argue. Her views on sex as a purely recreational and fun activity are particularly disturbing. She ignores the emotional entanglements that result from sex and in fact dismisses them as a pitiable crutch of the ignorant. As presented, these views represent the devolution of society and highlight the pain of the author and give the reader insight into her apparent inability to form meaningful lasting relationships.

Historia
The end begins with a viral outbreak unlike anything mankind has ever encountered before. The infected are subject to delirium, fever, a dramatic increase in violent behavior, and a one-hundred percent mortality rate. Death. But it doesn't end there. The victims return from death to walk the earth. When a massive military operation fails to contain the plague of the living dead it escalates into a global pandemic.

Oh so close
Revisado: 06-30-12
Some reviews of this book have said it is a collection of cliques but I couldn't disagree more. Yes it is a zombie book but it has some fresh takes on the genre and had so much potential. That is the issue however, potential not quite realized. The author had a really good idea but didn't do all his research. This lead to plot lines that just stretched the reader credulity too much. It was entertaining but not enough that I can say I will finish the series.

A fresh take on the zombie apocalypse
Revisado: 03-30-12
This was another terrific book from Maberry! His books are fast paced and extremely entertaining. If you are a fan of zombies and/or horror I would give it or any of his books a try. Warning, it is graphic and not suitable for the faint of heart. Also, some have complained that the narration was not the best but at least in my case the story caught my attention and I never noticed.

In this hilarious collection, you'll find essays like “Thoughts About My First Agent’s Girlfriend’s Vagina”, wherein Olivia skewers what it’s like to live in Hollywood. In “Sex: What You Can Do to Help Yourself Have More of It”, she frankly gets down to the business of getting it on, including advice on how to appropriately wrap it and bag it.
In “What to Do When the Robots Invade (Yes, When!)” Olivia offers valuable information on...what to do when the robots invade!

Extremely Disappointed
Revisado: 11-05-10
I feel like you can always find something good in any book and like Olivia Munn, but this book was just plain lousy. It was completely fragmented and the language was foul to put it mildly. I don???t mind salty language if it advances the story or fits, but f***???n f*** yeah is pointless no matter how you look at it. Olivia is talented and funny and this failed miserably to show that. And why did she feel the need to constantly pimp her book?!? I honestly feel like I was ripped off by this book.

Historia
There isn't much fun in the sun when a billionaire real estate tycoon is found murdered on the Tilt-a-Whirl at a seedy seaside amusement park in the otherwise quiet summer tourist town of Sea Haven. John Ceepak, a former MP just back from Iraq, has just joined the Sea Haven police department. The job offer came from an old Army buddy who hoped to give Ceepak at least a summer's worth of rest and relaxation to help him forget the horrors of war. Instead, Ceepak will head up the murder investigation.

A Guilty Pleasure
Revisado: 12-30-07
This was a great book, but not great literature. If you are looking for a sophisticated crime drama with deep meaning this book will not please. It is however a a fast paced read with very likeable characters that catch your interest and create a desire to know what is next. It was the first book in a while that I couldn't wait see what was next and found myself making time to finish listening to.

Historia
It began with a simple note: a letter of rejection delivered to Miss Temple on her maid's silver tray. But for Miss Temple, her fiance's cruel rejection will ignite a harrowing quest for truth, plunging her into a mystery as dizzying as a hall of mirrors. Thus begins Gordon Dahlquist's spectacular literary debut, a novel of Victorian suspense that shatters conventions and seethes with danger and eroticism.

Original, complex, and outstanding
Revisado: 10-01-06
This book was new and inventive. It seemed that often the author never quite set a full stage for the reader, leaving out some details of location or time but this was not a problem and in many cases heightened the mystery. Overall this was an outstanding book and I look forward to future works by this author.
