the story line was good, but the narrator repeated a sentence a few times, changed words a few times, but I'm sure that happens a lot. it was the editors who should have picked it up and eliminated the problems. felt very unprofessional. felt like the different books were not connected very well. one book ends with other kids getting powers, and never goes back to it. one book didn't talk about the other orginization that was huge in the first book. you would think the top wizard would be more curious about a normal human having Demon powers.also the first book ends with Auto saying her was laying a trap to protect Anitasta and find out why she is so important. then the next book she is captured and Auto isn't even mentioned. author needs to reread his first book again before he starts the next book and make notes of the forward shadowing he projected in the books before. Like in the very beginning of the series they start out in a fight scene but never concludes that fight at the end of book.

Time line not ever researched. no way Cassandra wrote this. In this story Alex Lightwood is 5, but in in the original series he just turned 18. it took almost a hundred years to turn 18 years. and somehow Cordeala agreed backwards! in the next serious she is still 18 and Alex is only 19. so messed up. also too much teen romance which over shadows their main goal. how can such a Woodard warrior clan get so distracted in the middle of battle to have a romantic moment? NONE! This was not about shadow hunters as much a teen high-schoolers!

This was the hardest series to make it threw. I understand how powerful love can be but in this series it makes love a drug. it's stupid. I'm sorry, no matter how much you are in love with someone, people don't want or think to make love when extremely dangerous things can happen any moment. Shadow hunters are protectors and warriors above all else. You don't go out on guard patrol when demons are expected and think hey let's gets naked and make out! It was a if the writer is totally a different person than the other series! This was bad!
