I made the mistake of listening to this while I was home by myself at nighttime. Yeah, go ahead and tell me what a goober I am. I know. NEVER AGAIN. My brain was in overdrive this king about all the things that could happen as I was listening to this story unfold. I couldn't stop listening because I needed to know what was going to happen but at the same time I needed to hide in case it was going to happen to me. This story was so good. Even though I was scared I truly enjoyed it!

Where do I even begin? I fell ear first into this book and couldn't pull myself away unless I absolutely had to. I loved our characters and what they brought to the story. I really enjoyed getting to know each of our main characters because they had so much pride, and love towards each other.
Honor and your word is the first and foremost in any Mafia. If you don't have them you won't go anywhere. Except for 6 feet below. These men had it in spades. They were willing to do whatever it took to make sure that Rosa was happy. Even if there were some growing pains along the way.
Rosa was such a strong woman who knew what she had to do but also what she wanted in life. She was more than willing to stand up for her wants and beliefs. And I loved her for it!! I would have loved to see a little bit more of her background, but we got a good snapshot of it.
The voice actors were great, despite the female struggling to stay in a Hispanic accent rather than an Irish one. She went back and forth and I feel like it kind of took away from Rosas heritage.

I don't know why this has the lower ratings that I am seeing! it has less than 4 stars and this definitely should have 4.75 or higher! This storyline was a fun short listen! I wish this would have been longer do that I could have gotten more of these two! I loved the dynamic and chemistry that they shared! The narrator definitely made the story come to life for these characters!

I loved the atmosphere involved in this storyline. I loved how much she was willing to explore more than what she has at face value. There is always that thought about if there is something better out there than what you already have. In this case there was, just not what you think it would be.
I loved the female main character and how much she embraced herself and something new. I wish this could have been a bit longer to get a little more background, but I still enjoyed the storyline and characters.
The narrator really brought this story to life with her charismatic delivery of this story!
