Historia
Since the 1970s, FantasticLand has been the theme park where "Fun is Guaranteed!" But when a hurricane ravages the Florida coast and isolates the park, the employees find it anything but fun. Five weeks later, the authorities who rescue the survivors encounter a scene of horror. Photos soon emerge online of heads on spikes outside of rides and viscera and human bones littering the gift shops, breaking records for hits, views, likes, clicks, and shares.

Not what I’d imagined
Revisado: 05-01-25
The concept was great, but the delivery was not what I’d expected. It was more like listening to a documentary filled with interviews rather than a story with action and dialogue. The latter would have been a much more enjoyable read/listen. The narrators did an excellent job with their voices and emotion. All in all it was ok.

Historia
In a strange little home built into the branches of a grove of trees, live three robots—fatherly inventor android Giovanni Lawson, a pleasantly sadistic nurse machine, and a small vacuum desperate for love and attention. Victor Lawson, a human, lives there too. They’re a family, hidden and safe. The day Vic salvages and repairs an unfamiliar android labelled “HAP,” he learns of a shared dark past between Hap and Gio–a past spent hunting humans. When Hap unwittingly alerts robots from Gio’s former life to their whereabouts, the family is no longer hidden and safe.

Wonderful story!
Revisado: 12-02-24
It’s refreshing to have such a positive and healthy relationship represented, and so organic. Wonderfully written, sweet, and wholesome. The narration was incredibly well done with the different voices. I highly recommend this book.

What a wonderful adventure!
Revisado: 04-25-24
This book was so much fun to read! Emotional ups and downs, daring fights, and everything comes full circle. I really want to keep reading, but the ending was very poetic. Please listen to this book, and buy a copy for someone else! The narrator could not have been a more perfect pick! Her voice was incredibly soothing, and her accents were spot on! Very well done. All of it.

Historia
If, like Kane, you’re a Denied Access Area spy for the CIA, then boundaries have no meaning. Your function is to go in, do whatever is required, and get out again—by whatever means necessary. You know when to run, when to hide—and when to shoot. But some places don’t play by the rules. Some places are too dangerous, even for a man of Kane’s experience. The badlands where the borders of Pakistan, Iran, and Afghanistan meet are such a place—a place where violence is the only way to survive.

An unrealistic turn of events
Revisado: 03-18-24
The story begins well enough. It was not near as enthralling as I Am Pilgrim. Without giving any spoilers the story has an odd twist toward the end. Not what I was expecting at all. I can’t say not to listen to this book. The narrator does a wonderful job! If he had not performed so well I probably would’ve stopped listening before the halfway point.

Not what I was expecting
Revisado: 02-09-24
The narrator did an awesome job! From setting the mood to the accents, he did very well. The story was not what I had anticipated at all. I don’t want to give any spoilers, but it was well worth the listen.

Slow starter story with strange narration
Revisado: 02-04-24
To begin, the narrator can’t seem to decide what her own accent is, or should be while reading. She does an ok job with the Russian accents. Some of the words are pronounced incorrectly which can and does break your focus on the scene at hand. The story itself is a good one. It does start out a little slow, but the ending takes off well. If you have the patience to get through the first 3/4s of the book you’ll enjoy the rest of it quite well. All in all not a bad book. If you’re looking for something to bridge between intense reads, this is an ok listen.

Awesome with a minor need for tweeks
Revisado: 03-06-16
Brandon Sanderson nailed it again! His writing has such great detail paid attention to! Michael Kramer's voice(s) and accents were spot on. Very talented. The only critique would be that he tends to go up at the end of a lot of statements. It almost makes them sound like they should halfway be questions. Other than that, definitely worth listening to!
