Never get tired of re-reading it
Revisado: 04-14-13
Would you listen to The Graveyard Book again? Why?
I've probably listened to it at least 5x!
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Graveyard Book?
It's difficult to pick one specific moment from the book but I find the last encounter between Bod and his friend to be heart-wrenching.
Have you listened to any of Neil Gaiman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I've heard his Audiobook Collection. His performance is comparable to this work.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It's both, really. There are funny, heartwarming moments and there are moments that makes you want to cry.
Any additional comments?
This book is not for very young children. I would advise 8+ I bought this book for my own enjoyment a couple of years ago and I could not believe my luck. I devoured it and had kept it close to my bedside table ever since. When I recently got into audiobooks, it was to my utter delight that I found this narrated by none other than Gaiman himself!
The Graveyard Book benefits from multiple readings - at least two. There were aspects of it that you could not pick out from the first reading and there are multiple things that would invite discussion, if you are so inclined. The book also heavily borrows from other myths and fairy tales as well as history and though it could be set in any suburbs, there is a passing mention of its location which the reader might have fun figuring out.
It is a fine book - one that is highly enjoyable to both the adult and the child.

Performance vary; Organization could be better
Revisado: 04-04-13
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
Performance vary by narrator. Some are good (e.g. Ian Mckellen) while some are unexpectedly disappointing.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No, this is a book that you want to absorb in stages.
Any additional comments?
I wish there's an option to replay a specific section over and over again or to skip to a specific poem. What I ended up doing was making separate notes at the beginning of each poem so that I could skip to that part.
