Revisado: 01-04-22
Was driving across country for the holidays and this was the perfect book to listen to. Two Christmas adventures wrapped in one book. Not complicated stories just well thought out and sucks you in. It's not a long book and you can get through it in no time. Highly recommend.

Revisado: 07-25-21
Alan Russell is a master story teller.
Jeff Commings is brilliant.
Highly recommend this audio and book.
This story takes us through another adventure with LAPD Detective Michael Gideon and his German shepherd K-9 partner, Sirius. I believe this is the conclusion of this series which for me is very sad for me as this series has been in my opinion one of the best ever written. And you always hate seeing great things end. I've come quite connected to these characters. The story concludes the walk through fire with the serial killer Ellis Haines, final showdown, and its a great one. A wonderful fun page turner with our favorite cast of characters with some new ones as well, Gigi Gideon's baby daughter and some new dogs. In summary, another excellent book in this superb series.

Historia
When a woman in Bel Air dies of a rattlesnake bite, the case doesn’t seem to fit the usual purview of LAPD’s Special Cases Unit. But Carrie Holder was no ordinary LA woman. She was a member of the city's latest cult, the Church of the Gate, which counts Hollywood's movers and shakers among its devotees. Investigating the cult's secrets takes Detective Michael Gideon, his German shepherd K-9 partner, Sirius, and pit bull rescue Emily across Los Angeles's canyons, neighborhoods, and movie studio lots - but all the while, an even darker threat looms closer.

Another perfect story and narration
Revisado: 01-23-20
Alan Russell has done it again. His talent in writing stories with multiple plots that all work together is like watching Michael Jordan play basketball. It is sad this is going to be the second to last book that will be apart of this series. This book continues the adventure of LAPD Michael Gideon and his fellow dog partner officer Sirius. This book has two side cases, with a cult mystery and a dog mystery, but the main obstacle is the continuation of his chest game with a locked up serial killer Ellis Haines, aka the Weatherman. Ellis has another serial killer helping his cause by aiming its kills at Detective Michael Gideon. It's coming down to detective Gideon being able to lock down murders on Ellis Haines while protecting himself against the serial killer that is working with the Weatherman to create suffering for our heros. Hopefully our hero's will dodge disaster and catch that psycho (the All-in Killer) in the process.
I'm looking forward to the next book to conclude all that which has yet to be resolved. I have a suspicion it won't be Detective Gideon saving the day at the end but a certain doggy hero who would do anything to protect the innocent, but especially the ones he loves. I guess we will see.
For this book/audiobook, LA Woman, I can't highly recommend it enough. The narration is so clear and perfect. The narrator was born to read this book in his way to us. The plot is a incredible and you'll be up all night listening or reading this masterpiece. You have to buy this book and series, it is wonderful.

Revisado: 01-01-20
Nathan Van Coops is amazing. No doubt my favorite writer. Incredible creative worlds and characters. Sword Fight will not let you down, Van Coops is king of on the edge of your seat adventures. Fantastically written while painting epic pictures in your mind. Narration was good and has a good voice, however was kind of too breathy into the mic and some hard cuts in transitions. The story is so good and I can't wait for the next book. Highly recommend! Give stars!

What a great story Brian Freeman created, it was the perfect mystery and story. Didn't know much about his books and this Audible special introduced me to this incredible storyteller. And what can I say about the narration by January LaVoy, she was excellent. This story was made to be told by January. I wonder if this story will have other adventures, I hope so. We got to step in his life just a little bit which made this story be a little bit sweeter. I truly enjoyed 'The Final Reckoning' and highly recommend. Can't wait for Robert Bailey 's next books.

Historia
At first, it looks like a disease. An epidemic that spreads through no known means, driving its victims mad with memories of a life they never lived. But the force that’s sweeping the world is no pathogen. It’s just the first shock wave, unleashed by a stunning discovery - and what’s in jeopardy is not our minds but the very fabric of time itself. In New York City, Detective Barry Sutton is closing in on the truth - and in a remote laboratory, neuroscientist Helena Smith is unaware that she alone holds the key to this mystery...and the tools for fighting back.

The horrifying discovery leads Detective Jude Fontaine and her partner, Uriah Ashby, to more bodies in the ice, all of twelve-year-old boys missing for twenty years. Then, in one of the worst blizzards the city has ever seen, a four-year-old is abandoned on Jude’s doorstep. The child can’t tell them where he’s from, who his parents are, or how he got there. He doesn’t even know his name. But in his unspoken language, Jude reads something horrifying - a connection to the dead boys.

Another great one
Revisado: 06-26-19
Such a clever back story with Jude Fontaine that it makes every book a more interesting story. Excellent narriation by Emily Sutton-Smith she really drives the story and brings to life every character. This third book of the series is another extraordinary addition to the life of Detective Jude Fontaine. The author continues to build strength to her main characters which make the mystery of whatever crime become more intense. I don't want to ruin the story by going into it and the summary gives a good review, no need to go into more detail and ruin the twists and mystery of the crime. All I will tell you is I highly recommend and hope for more books/audibles with Detective Jude Fontaine.
