Historia
A plucky farm boy will find more than he's bargained for on his quest to awaken the sleeping princess in her cursed tower. First there's the Dark Lord, who wishes for the boy's untimely death...and also very fine cheese. Then there's a bard without a song in her heart but with a very adorable and fuzzy tail, an assassin who fears not the night but is terrified of chickens, and a mighty fighter more frightened of her sword than of her chain-mail bikini. This journey will lead to sinister umlauts, a trash-talking goat, and the Dread Necromancer Steve....

Historia
It’s senior-year spring break, and Noelle Meyer and Evan Sinclair have been kidnapped. Neither knows why they were chosen, only that they share a tragic past: Evan’s father got away with killing Noelle’s mother, effectively ruining her family when the death was ruled an accident. Despite the connection that should have made them enemies, the teens instead unite to face their other common denominator—their abductors. Noelle and Evan survive one sadistic circumstance after another, eventually making a harrowing escape. But every happy ending comes at a price…

Fabulous story...but with triggers
Revisado: 01-25-24
Mia Sheridan is a consistent "Go-To" author. have enjoyed her writing for many years and several of them are my top favorite of all time.
but....another female narrator would have been better. the first part of the book, with plenty of drama; could easily accept why yhe narrator chose a "teary voice"...bit throughout the whole book? made Noelle sound like a whiner. that was the ONLY drawback to this very emotional and victorious novel.

Historia
Rose Drayton lives on the Edge, between the world of the Broken (where people drive cars, shop at Wal-Mart, and magic is a fairy tale) and the Weird (where blueblood aristocrats rule, changelings roam, and the strength of your magic can change your destiny). Only Edgers like Rose can easily travel from one world to the next, but they never truly belong in either.

It all comes down to narration!
Revisado: 11-23-21
this book has been over a decade in the making....since the very first introduction of the "Guild Hunter" world....and what an Incredible world of is!!!
Ms. Eyre did provide slight accent variations for a few of the secondary characters...but between Illuium and Adohan there was ZERO distinction. The main theme of this book was reduced to: " Who said that"?
Nalini Singh blessed these characters with full backstory...answering every question that a true fan had of these favorite characters.
the book is over....I am happy...but I still want more!!! wonder what is next?!?!?!

Vampire hunter Elena Deveraux knows she is the best - but she does not know if even she is good enough for this job. Hired by the dangerously beautiful archangel Raphael, a being so lethal that no mortal wants his attention, Elena knows failure is not an option---even if the task is impossible. Because this time, it's not a wayward vamp she has to track. It's an archangel gone bad.

Historia
They killed me. They healed me. They changed me. Sure, the life of a graduate student wasn't exactly glamorous, but it was mine. I was doing fine until Chicago's vampires announced their existence to the world---and then a rogue vampire attacked me. But he only got a sip before he was scared away by another bloodsucker...and this one decided that the best way to save my life was to make me the walking undead.

very unrealistic
Revisado: 08-10-21
had to listen to the story at 1.20 narration speed... and still... conversations were stilted and dragged out.
had really hoped that this would be a new series for me. not to be. a vampire less than two (2) weeks old and she is battling centuries old vampires.....and in a powerful position within the house.... and calling a 400 yearly old vamp a boy over and over. was ridiculous! very long and drawn out....just disappointing...

Historia
It's not every day that a beautiful, naked woman falls out of the sky and lands face-first on grizzly shifter Berg Dunn's hotel balcony. Definitely, they don't usually hop up and demand his best gun. Berg gives the lady a grizzly-sized t-shirt and his cell phone, too, just on style points. And then she's gone, taking his XXXL heart with her. By the time he figures out she's a honey-badger shifter, it's too late. Honey badgers are survivors. Brutal, vicious, ill-tempered survivors.

An absolute favorite book.....tarnished
Revisado: 04-06-21
Ms. Laurenston is an all time favorite author. treasured for her quality and lighthearted writing style. With Audible...no matter the content, it is the narrator that brings the story to life....or leaves it dead in the ditch.
In the book...there are three (3) main female characters....with the same voice....very difficult to discern who was talking. The strong, fun loving bears had a voice that was stilted and returned them to non-verbal caveman.
I needed my favorite book to make me smile with all of the playfulness and lighthearted shenanigans that I so enjoy in my paperback. Very happy to see that the second book in this series is read by a different narrator. Just by that, I will spend a credit.

how a narrarator can ruin one of the BEST books
Revisado: 05-23-20
I have waited YEARS for Audible to finally offer this fantastic...and best series of books I have ever read. but it is trash! Ms. Eriksen's version of this tales makes it COLD, HARSH, and BRITTLE. this story is poetry...soft....lyrical and filled with so much heart and beauty. even increasing the narration speed to 1.25 still kept the flowing words bogged down, slow, and lifeless. by chapter four (4), I picked up my third well-worn copy of "WARPRIZE" and began the epic adventure again. this will be returned. so very sad!!!

Worth the Wait
Revisado: 08-02-19
The story was a bit slow...but this gave you a chance to really develop a relationship with the characters. The narration was most excellent! She gave depth and personality to each character and her accent was spot on.
I enjoyed the book and my time spent with these characters.

Historia
Oberon the Irish wolfhound is off to Portland to smell all the things with canine companions, and, of course, his human, ancient Druid Atticus O'Sullivan. The first complication is an unmistakable sign of sinister agendas afoot: a squirrel atop the train. But an even more ominous situation is in store when the trio plus Atticus stumble across a murder upon arrival at the station. They recognize Detective Gabriela Ibarra, who's there to investigate. But they also recognize the body - or rather that the body is a doppelganger for Atticus himself.
