As the World Trade Center buildings collapsed, the Pentagon burned, and a small group of passengers fought desperately to stop a third plane from completing its deadly flight plan, America went on war footing. Killing the Killers narrates America's intense global war against extremists who planned and executed not only the 9/11 attacks but hundreds of others in America and around the world, and who eventually destroyed entire nations in their relentless quest for power.

In depth, thriller, sobering
Revisado: 07-18-22
O'Reilly is consistent in providing depth of information and putting it all together in a fascinating story that keeps you engaged throughout the book.

Historia
The demolition of Penn Station in 1963 destroyed not just a soaring neoclassical edifice, but also a building that commemorated one of the last century's great engineering feats: the construction of railroad tunnels into New York City. Now, in this gripping narrative, Jill Jonnes tells this fascinating story - a high-stakes drama that pitted the money and will of the nation's mightiest railroad against the corruption of Tammany Hall, the unruly forces of nature, and the machinations of labor agitators.

Well told story. Engaging and a bit suspenseful
Revisado: 03-11-21
I was as really surprised about this piece of American history and technology. It was even a little suspenseful. Not knowing anything about this I was surprised and emotional at the ending. This a good read and/listen.

Loved it. It gave me much more to think about risk. Also it tells about success of those who are not uber rich and famous

Historia
Best-selling author, former White House speechwriter, and Atlantic columnist and media commentator David Frum explains why President Trump has undermined our most important institutions in ways even the most critical media has missed, in this thoughtful and hard-hitting book that is a warning for democracy and America's future. Quietly, steadily, Trump and his administration are damaging the tenets and accepted practices of American democracy, perhaps irrevocably.

Something to think about
Revisado: 05-16-18
This really puts a lot of what is in the news together. A lot of supporting evidence. Everything in perspective. Obviously he really doesn't like Trump and I wonder how that affects his judgement. Still a very good and interesting book.

Historia
As soon as the financial crisis erupted, the finger-pointing began. Should the blame fall on Wall Street, Main Street, or Pennsylvania Avenue? On greedy traders, misguided regulators, sleazy subprime companies, cowardly legislators, or clueless home buyers? According to Bethany McLean and Joe Nocera, two of America's most acclaimed business journalists, the real answer is all of the above-and more. Many devils helped bring hell to the economy.

Very comprehensive

We know how this story ends, but this puts a lot of detail that we did not hear much about and connects that wit what we did know. The story is compelling and entertaining . The reader is excellent .
