Historia
The Bobiverse is a different place in the aftermath of the Starfleet War, and the days of the Bobs gathering in one big happy moot are far behind. There’s anti-Bob sentiment on multiple planets, the Skippies playing with an AI time bomb, and multiple Bobs just wanting to get away from it all. But it all pales compared to what Icarus and Daedalus discover on their 26,000-year journey to the center of the galaxy.

I love this series so much.
Revisado: 09-16-24
I don’t think I’d ever get tired of this series. Thankfully it seems open ended enough to allow for at least one more book. If you’ve gotten this far in the series you have absolutely no reason to pass on this latest installment. The bobiverse is perhaps the best sci-fi series I’ve read. Or at the very least it’s the most entertaining.

Kaz Wolfe has everything he needs to prevent a Convergence that would allow gods and monsters from the Nether to invade our world. Everything, other than a single clue about what a Convergence is. Or how it works. Or how to stop it. To get answers, he might have to take a fun-filled family road trip to the last place he wants to go: the Netherworld.

A new style for a new era.
Revisado: 06-19-24
Craig’s style of story telling perfectly compliments the talents of RC Bray and the medium of audiobooks. I’m not sure if he would be as successful if we had to read the books ourselves and use our own imaginations to add character to the…uhh..characters.
Performed novels such as this and expeditionary force are a relatively new form of media and Craig and Bray are the early masters.

A fitting conclusion to an amazing and profound sci-fi series.
Revisado: 03-09-23
Each book in this series offers such a profound view on the legion of possible forms intelligence could take if it were developed in a different organism and shows just how difficult of a job it is to measure intelligence in non-human beings.
If dolphins tried to test our intelligence, we would fail conclusively.
We can’t echolocate or respond to pictures drawn by a dolphins pings, we can’t even get close to catching a fish, and half way through the rest we’d probably stay under a little too long and drown.
The author has imagine and so throughly thought out the forms that these societies evolved into, I’m struggling to find the words to describe how profound of a mental exercise these books represent.
If I could give these books 6 stars, I’d be here wishing I could give them 7.
If you’re a sci-fi / fantasy fan AT ALL, you owe it to yourself to listen to this series more than once.

The galaxy is doomed. Monkeys may be clever and too stubborn to give up, but Skippy The Idiot Who Got Played knows the harsh truth: this is a fight he can’t win. The odds are not only stacked against him, he was designed not to win this fight. Maybe he can salvage some faint memory of the civilizations that inhabit the galaxy, but those beings are doomed. Doomed. Including the Merry Band of Pirates.

Revisado: 02-20-23
No spoilers, but it was a very satisfying ending imo. It’s not often that I’ve cried because of a book. Actually…I think it’s the first time. You’ll know the part when you get to it. Right in the feels. If you’ve gotten this far in the series, you know everything thats usually in a review. RC Brays performance is golden. Skippy and Joe deserve stars on Hollywood Blvd.
I’m sad the ride is over, but it was a good one.

Revisado: 11-30-22
Hell of a cliff hanger. Although it’s a beautiful collection of short sci-fi images by itself, I feel like I need to listen to the second to really appreciate the story of Hyperion. This book just hinted at back stories. But it was good. :-)

It was just a random mutation - one of a billion that happen in viruses every day. But this one was different. It exploded out of Somalia and spread across the oceans before anybody thought to look up from their cell phones to see what was going on. The infected breathed the virus into the air around them, spreading it through the cities faster than anyone thought possible. Hospitals were overwhelmed. Police lines crumbled. Quarantine sites disintegrated. Cities started to collapse.

One of the best In the Genera.
Revisado: 11-23-21
This is infinitely better than the Extinction Cycle which was repetitive by book three.
I’d say it’s tied with Commune for post apocalyptic, but Commune isn’t a zombie story. So they can share the podium as far as I’m concerned…
As far as zombie apocalypse type stories go, this one is excellent. A lot of them tend to get repetitive, I.e. Find a base. Build it up. Get over run. Find another base. Get over run. OR encounter a zombie, then discover a more dangerous one. Over. And over. And over.
THIS STORY IS NOT REPETITIVE.
And for that reason, it gets 5 stars. The scenarios stay fresh. Obviously there are some of the zombie troupes you’re familiar with, but it doesn’t repeat any of them, instead running through the entire catalog the genera has at its disposal at a comfortable pace.
If I had one complaint, it’s that the main character is a little bit immature…by book ten you’d think that the end of the world would have drilled some maturity in to what seems to be an eternally petulant 21 year old bro. But I have to say that, although it grinds my nerves on a regular basis, the contrast between Zed and Murphy makes for great story telling. This is the best zombie series I’ve read (listened to).

Neither side has gained an advantage, and the threat of a betrayal by Dalinar’s crafty ally Taravangian looms over every strategic move. Now, as new technological discoveries by Navani Kholin’s scholars begin to change the face of the war, the enemy prepares a bold and dangerous operation. The arms race that follows will challenge the very core of the Radiant ideals.

And I absolutely hate that audible broke it into 5 separate downloads. Like, why!?! The Ring of Time books were one download? And to make it worse there’s some glitch with audible where every time I resume, the app has lost my spot and has to redownload the whole part and I have to guess where I stopped the night before. Please fix this and make it one file. It’s 2020. We can handle downloading a few hundred mbs.
