The evil Lord that knew too little
Revisado: 04-02-25
I found this book cuz I'm a fan of Cliff Kirk's work. he did an excellent job. 😀This is the crazy story I really enjoyed. as a story progressed it reminded me of the Bill Murray movie The spy who knew too little.... I definitely will follow the series. I'm actually going to look for the manga 👍🏽😆. I got this as the audible add-on for $7:50 . I didn't feel like I wasted my money. I went to look for the second book which is ready at this moment (2025 April) but I'm looking forward to when it comes out

Someone who makes sure he and his fellow humans can remain on display and entertain their owners as any good human pet would. At least, that’s what he was born to be. He’s taken a different route and joined a resistance faction to help free humanity to become more than just pets to an alien race.

not a waste of money or time... I would even use a credit assuming the book's not on sale.
Revisado: 08-09-24
I've always been a fan of the Randy Darien books.( at least for the first three in any given series)…had recently given up on future books(be on fourth book in any of those series) by Randy Dearing because it seems after book 3 The story doesn't continue in that books series it seems to be a part of a conglomeration of a runner Norwood multiverse. Which is great in and of itself. I just take issue that the characters I want to hear more about from a current series aren't addressed. It's more about the characters from another series that I'm wondering where we're going. I was a bit on the fence but since Stephanie Savannah read this book I gave it the once-over. I have loved her performances in cultivating chaos, book 5 of wild wild wastes, and
Lol first I was a little put off by the names because they seemed about his uninspired as they come…being a fan of Tolkien I can't really say that the names were not all that crazy or silly haha.
I don't believe that you'd be wasting your money or credit if you decided to get this book in the series. I was very much well pleased I decided to go with getting book 2, pre-ordering it, when it comes out just trying to understand
Overclocked is an incredibly imaginative series. At first I was a little worried because it kind of had a human version of that old animation The secret of Nim. As the story continued I was just pulled in more by the support characters. We're not just talking about the main protagonist, we're also talking about the supporting characters whether they were nice, idiots, assholes, supportive, or background. They all played together in a beautiful collage in this sci-fi novel. Wrench is a Fixer.Someone born to maintain, fix, and correct any and every issue that could go wrong in the Habitat that he lives in. To make sure he and his fellow humans can remain on display and entertain their owners as any good human pet would.Or at least that’s what he was born to be.He’d taken a different route in his life and had joined a resistance faction to help free Humanity. To gain their freedom and become more than just pets to an alien race. Now at the end of that life, and realizing what a waste all his effort had been, Wrench is going to find himself given a chance to go back to his youth and relive his life.(Though with two caveats.)He’s going to be granted a super power where he has the ability to alter anything and everything in regards to his own body. From forcing his body to heal faster, to speeding up his perception of time so that everything runs in slow-motion.(That power came with a price tag, of course.)It came at the low cost of a favor in the distant future from the man who’d be giving him his do-over. Not sure if this is Felix or the architect I guess to be determined.Accepting the deal, since being alive is far more beneficial to being dead, Wrench is thrown back into the past.To live his life all over again.Live it in whatever way he sees fit, whether it be rejoining the resistance, living as a Fixer and taking a leadership role, or just finding a wife and having kids utilizing his newfound super-power that lets him alter anything and everything about his own body’s systems to become something completely different. Regardless of whatever choice he makes though, he’s got a lot of things to fix.Good thing he’s well suited to fixing problems. After all, most issues only needed a great deal of violence to be solved. Wrench has lots of that in his tool-box to go around.
Reader audiobook beware…simplistic as this narrative may seem it's more of a touch of mad Max meats animal farm.

Historia
Randold, better known as Rand, was no ordinary individual. Despite his best efforts, he possessed an extraordinary secret—he was a Super. Well, technically speaking, he belonged to that exceptional group, but he concealed his true nature from the world. For Rand possessed a remarkable ability to manipulate all forms of energy, even the Superpowers of others, a power that, if discovered, would undoubtedly land him in dire trouble with the government. The consequences ranged from imprisonment to something far worse.

🦸🏿♂️when Superman tries to mind his own business, lol
Revisado: 05-05-24
I gave this book a listen to because the voice actress Kat Riley😸 and the Kindle/audible combo price💸🤑. I was not disappointed. 👍🏿Nice touch of superheroes/X-Files/reluctant hero made for very entertaining book. I've already added the next two to my library. 📚I don't think you'd be wasting your money or your credit here.
I enjoyed embark on Rand's journey as he grapples with the immense task of controlling his powers while navigating the treacherous path of secrecy. The introduction as to why they are superpowers on this world was a nice twist.Rand's quest is not only to hide his true nature from his newfound lovers/friends but also from other Supers who may be lurking in the shadows. Will he successfully strike a delicate balance, or will his remarkable abilities lead to an unmasking that could forever alter his destiny? I thought this was very well written. I originally had got the audible because I'm a fan of the voice actress Kat Riley (Weapons master and Apex ascended series⭐⭐⭐⭐) and was impressed by Rand as he faces these trials and tribulations, where the stakes are high, and the world of Supers is fraught with peril.

anime fans beware this book is addicting 👍
Revisado: 11-25-23
I got this book on sale as a 3-in-1 Omni book. this is my first time in this particular genre. I couldn't put it down. and then I bought the audible.
The voice actors do an incredible job. this is an equal parts blend of book anime versus intriguing story. I like that it stays on point with theme and topic without going off the rails.
if you're a fan like me that likes a good type of predictability with a good story that brings you to those guilty pleasures versus pleasant surprises and this is a book for you. if you like an audiobook that's borderline radio drama, meaning they throw in a special effect here and there, then this is also the book for you.
if you're neither one of these people then this is an excellent book for you that's on sale lol.
for me I'm new to this author, new to this dry line, and I totally bought the next two books in this series using my audible credits.

When people started to develop superpowers, the world changed forever. Me? I wasn't one of the lucky ones with powers. So I had to develop more mundane skills, skills which have taken me across the globe on dangerous missions. But there are some missions I’ve always had to refuse. I've never been able to take on a super. They're just too powerful. They're gods, whereas I'm just a man, even with all my knowledge and training. All that changes after I discover my dad's secret research project.

do robotic tones help bring out other characters
Revisado: 03-15-23
this is my second series by this particular author. though my first series with these two particular voice actors.
overall I felt that the story was well balanced, not spectacular. but definitely worth the sales price on audible. story cliffhanger was well placed enough that I bought book two at full price.
Male lead has a bit of a robotic rhythm while reading the main story yet gives awesome performances of all the male leads. to this reader, I would have to say because of the male leads robotic tones the female voice actress brought out all the characters with a bit of spice and delicious narrative. overall I can see myself looking into other books with the raya Kane female voice actor. I would have to state that the voice actress did an awesome job yet she's no Andrea parsonou, Rosalyn rader, or Jessica threet. (those three actresses I've enjoyed their books amendously) still going to look into this voice actress and see what other projects she's involved with and most likely add a book or two outside of this series.
as to the mail lead, Wayne Kelly, I have been more of a fan of like Christian Jillian, Jim Dale, Alex perrone and Christopher boucher. yet, I was incredibly impressed with his banter of two different characters which dance together so perfectly. Wayne Kelly definitely has some talent just a bit too monotone for my usual tastes. brings all the other characters alive with great symmetry of accents. so I'll definitely would look into other book projects he's a part of yet I wouldn't buy any solo projects.
this story was just classical and predictable as one would like. it's a lot like watching a b-rated movie two or three times because you just love the dialogue, this type of story, and you're wondering which of the 11 possible endings are going to go with. overall it's not complicated writing but I still love this book. I bought the book at full price and the audible came at a discount. I have not read book two but most likely will purchase book to audible two days after this posts.
if you pay full price I don't think you're wasting your money. it's a good story, both actors have a great chemistry, and audibly I couldn't put it down for nearly 3 days. I listen to it at work, at gym, and in between classes I'm currently taking at the local college.

Good book, get it on sale, good ending yet busy
Revisado: 02-16-23
I very much liked book one and two so I picked up three when it came out. I used one of my audible credits. The performance was exceptional as always. I very much like these two voice actors. I'm actually going to look for other projects they've been a part of. in regards to this particular story it just got a bit busy for my tastes. what the author seem to lead up to in book 1 and book two did not really crescendo here in book 3. it just kind of added more to it. in some ways this reminds me of the final season of heroes. episode 1 through 5 just added so much and so many directions that when you finally got to the final episode of this final season your left with a kind of like wait why did we go this direction. no matter how good the actors were the story just got a little busy. I'm looking forward to book four... however if it ends up being just as busy as book three I might end in this series. I still think the author who has a great imagination and I've picked up two other books of new series that he started . so far very much enjoy them.

awesome part two.
Revisado: 02-10-23
I have to admit I really did enjoy the first book so much that I went ahead and got the second book. this is one of those type of guilty pleasures of mine. I have always appreciated a overpowered MC. what I've continued to appreciate about this book is the reverse gender roles that the world is in. I also appreciate that this is still a strong alpha male in a world of reverse gender roles. if you like a good cheesy book that is predictable but in a nice way then this is the book for you. when I mean predictable it's a lot like when you play a video game and you know behind one of the doors is the big bad, behind another door is the super treasure, and behind the third door it's just going to lead you on until you have to make another choice... this book is that kind of predictability. just when you think this is the direction it's going to go it gives you a little twist and on the other side of that coin when it takes you in the direction you expect to go it's well developed and pleasantly if not erotically delivered. I love all of the characters that the MC has in regards to his harem. I like the choices that he makes and the reason he makes those choices. I have grown so tired of the with great power comes great responsibility... this is the world is going to mess with you if they know you have this ability of near omnipotence so they'll use whatever they can which is a weakness against you. whether it be someone who's close to you, family who's close to you, or the fact that you just want to live a regular life in mild obscurity they're just going to mess with you. this is type of book that has an MC who is trying to live an obscurity but gets pulled into the limelight and the incredible women that get pulled along with him. when book 3 comes out I will most likely use one of my monthly credits to pick it up instead of waiting for to come on sale. I'm only speaking for myself nobody else. if you like books like Michael Scott Earl's tamer King of dinosaurs, Dante King's making superheroes, and Randy darian's wild wastes then this is the book for you.

what happened to Mama!?!?
Revisado: 02-10-23
I'm a recent fan to the Dante King series. I have appreciated two of his previous works such as making supers and stardust runners. overall I kind of enjoy the tempo and the story. I admit that the voice actors brought more life to the book making supers then reading the book. I only read book one and the rest I got an audible. with that being said I think this was a great story. I wouldn't put it up there with Stephen King or Michael Scott Earl but definitely beyond Sean Williams and Stephen colve.
this was a fun story. this is also a guilty pleasure book for me. however... One of the things that bothered me is this book tries to capitalize on the I'm a son who has to make sure his mother is taking care of or safe. she seems to be pitiful in the first five chapters of the book and then she completely disappears... and is only addressed as in I need to make my mom proud... why? it's your typical hey I've discovered I'm not just a regular everyday average Joe I actually have some special abilities about me and there's a bunch of cool ass super strong women that are going to help me achieve all my dreams, goals, and bear the children of my kingdom! but what happened to Mama. Mama supposed to be all this importance! Mama's sick and needs help! and then Mama disappears... what the hell. overall I think this is a good book. it's probably one I would wait for on sale though. I wouldn't purchase it at full price.
if you're getting the audible both voice actors do an extraordinary job. I believe that you be very entertained. for that I don't know if I do full price but if I ended up with a free extra credit then I would probably use it on this.

little overboard on the becoming a deity b*******
Revisado: 02-10-23
there's always one book in a series that just doesn't measure up to the rest. IE JK Rowling's chamber secrets, RA Salvatore's servant of the shard, and Brandon Frazier's monkey bone. lol. wasn't sure exactly how to receive this particular story. there was a whole new reader which I felt she did a good job... however for book 5 in a series in a multiple line genre I probably would have used either Jessica threat, Roslyn raider, or Gabrielle Michaels possibly Rebecca woods. The new voice artist just didn't give me that edge. kind of like a bloody Mary without the vodka. I thought it was a good job. however the previous voice artist gave it more of a flair.
next, this book had the feel of a project that had to be turned in before it was completely huned at the edges. like reading a term paper from a student who obviously did everything at the last minute. not sure what direction the story was supposed to take but some of the key characters get removed, possibly, so that we could introduce new characters in the same story dynamic from previous books like book 2 and 3.
Alas this book seems to also be moving toward the whole how to become a deity in three easy steps. I admit this book is always been kind of a guilty pleasure but this is kind of skirting a line that in the past has indicated to me the artist is on their way out. example Robert Francis "Bobcat" Goldthwait started going off the deep end in his comic routines and kind of alienated his audience. same thing with Andrew Dice Clay. this book kind of rubbed me that direction.
not sure exactly what happened in the creation of this story but it isn't until about getting into 58% of the book, as marked by my Amazon reader, that the story really started to pick up. The story started to come back to that same tempo that the previous books had. had I been the editor I probably would have sent this back to the author and said you need to redo this first half. as of recent I've enjoyed all of randadarian's books. save for this one.
if you're going to buy this book wait for it to be on sale.

OP MC super's book in reverse gender rolls
Revisado: 01-15-23
I gave it 4 stars because I think it's a 5 star book for the sale price of which I got it for.If I bought this book at full price along with the audible I might have been a bit disappointed.
I'm a fan of these fantasy erotica style genera peri originally had received this book as a gift from a friend. After reading the 1st few chapters I gave up on it thinking that the author was just rushing the story. It came with an audio book attachment . Raider raider, the voice actress, doesn't exceptional job of bringing all the characters together.
Alexander, the voice actor, does an excellent job of reading and bringing the main character the right punch to the dialog. The story is not complicated but what stories are anymore. This reads a lot like a graphic novel . It moves the story along. In short it isn't tolikin where you need a back story in every F and tree branch.. This is one of those nice move along stories.
My only suggestion is give this story a chance up to the 7th chapter. It was after the 7th chapter I went and ordered the 2nd book on audible and preordered book 3.
