Historia
In this follow-up to Clanlands Sam & Graham document their journey across New Zealand, a country Graham calls home and that Sam has longed to visit since learning it was a popular destination for Scottish immigrants to settle back in the 19th century. Follow the 'outlandish' pair as they explore the Scottish influence of New Zealand: connecting with the rich culture and Scottish heritage, sampling world-class food & drink, and being humbled by incredible landscapes and pulse-raising activities.

Lots of banter, little information on New Zealand
Revisado: 07-24-24
This book was a great introduction to the adventures that could be had in New Zealand, but unfortunately, had little to do with the country or the people living there. While there was some information presented about the Māori culture and modern New Zealander culture, the primary focus and motivation for this book appears to be thrill seeking activities and reminiscing about Outlander, Lord of the Rings, and the authors’ past adventures. The audio book is well presented, but if this were in text, I would probably have not finished it.

Ellie Bowman barely remembers the incident that put her into a coma. When she awoke, filled with unease, all she knew for certain was that her boyfriend, Rick, was missing. She knew she needed to get away from her old life and recover in safety. Slow burn
Revisado: 02-15-24
The performance of this book is done very well, while the narrative is lacking. It’s a very slow burn that leaves the reader mildly interested in the protagonist and instead more interested in the community this narrative takes place. With plenty of potential for an enthralling mystery and suspenseful resolution, this fails to deliver. Overall it kept me entertained for my drives to and from work, but I am glad I left it for audio subscription, rather than full purchase.

Good, but not earth shattering
Revisado: 03-13-23
This book provides pretty good insights regarding intra-workplace relationships. It won’t tell you anything you don’t know, but may provide a good outside looking in perspective.
