Historia
Long before The Lost Kitchen became a world dining destination with every seating filled the day the reservation book opens each spring, Erin French was a girl roaming barefoot on a 25-acre farm, a teenager falling in love with food while working the line at her dad’s diner and a young woman finding her calling as a professional chef at her tiny restaurant tucked into a 19th century mill.

Revisado: 02-16-25
Best memoir ever! Deliciously written! So sad that it’s over, I so enjoyed this book and feel forever changed. I will look at life’s challenges in such a different way… Erin’s journey is so damn inspiring and I know that I will try to create & accomplish things each day with a new outlook…things that I would’ve normally dismissed right away. I will be mailing my rose water-scented postcard on April 1, for sure!!! 🩷🌸🌻🌺🌼🩷🌸☀️❤️🌸🩷👏😘 wow!!!! …Efffffinnnnng wow!

Stephanie and Jessica have nothing and everything in common. The two women don’t know each other but are on the same plane heading to California. Stephanie is on a business trip and Jasmine is fleeing an abusive relationship. After a few days, they text their friends the same exact messages about the same man—the messages becoming stranger and more erratic. And then the two women vanish. Historia
It’s a beautiful day in Newport, Rhode Island, when Phoebe Stone arrives at the grand Cornwall Inn wearing a green dress and gold heels, not a bag in sight, alone. She's immediately mistaken by everyone in the lobby for one of the wedding people, but she’s actually the only guest at the Cornwall who isn’t here for the big event. Phoebe is here because she’s dreamed of coming for years—she hoped to shuck oysters and take sunset sails with her husband, only now she’s here without him, at rock bottom, and determined to have one last decadent splurge on herself.

BEST BOOK, OH MY GOODNESS!
Revisado: 08-03-24
This was such a special book and I didn’t want it to end. Phoebe is so wise…I loved this character and I’d love to know her. She has the very best answer/response to any question and I need her in my life! This was a fabulous story and I feel so lucky to have found this book. I listen to hundreds of audible books and they sometimes melt together or I can’t even remember what they were about…this one will stand out for me always. LOVED it!!!!

Historia
As the child of a Hooters waitress and an ex-pro wrestler, Margo Millet's always known she’d have to make it on her own. So she enrolls at her local junior college, even though she can’t imagine how she’ll ever make a living. She’s still figuring things out and never planned to have an affair with her English professor—and while the affair is brief, it isn’t brief enough to keep her from getting pregnant. Despite everyone’s advice, she decides to keep the baby, mostly out of naiveté and a yearning for something bigger.

Smart & Entertaining!
Revisado: 06-15-24
I am just finishing listening to this incredible book and am so sad that it’s over. Such a great story and Elle Fanning was the perfect narrator as I pictured her as Margo…such a smart and admirable character…someone to root for with her ‘take charge way’ of dealing with things. Can’t wait to read more by this author! Loved it so much!❤️

Historia
After Tova Sullivan’s husband died, she began working the night shift at the Sowell Bay Aquarium, mopping floors and tidying up. Keeping busy has always helped her cope, which she’s been doing since her eighteen-year-old son, Erik, mysteriously vanished on a boat in Puget Sound over thirty years ago. Tova becomes acquainted with curmudgeonly Marcellus, a giant Pacific octopus living at the aquarium. Marcellus knows more than anyone can imagine but wouldn’t dream of lifting one of his eight arms for his human captors—until he forms a remarkable friendship with Tova.

Historia
Louisa has come to her parents’ house in Maine this summer with her three kids, a barely written book that has a looming deadline, and a trunkful of resentment. Louisa is hoping the crisp breeze will blow away her irritation for her life choices and replace it with enthusiasm for both her family and her writing. But all isn’t well in Maine. Louisa’s father, a retired judge and pillar of the community, is suffering from Alzheimer’s. Louisa’s mother is alternately pretending everything is fine and not pretending at all.
