Best book I've ever read about JFK Jr

Having read virtually every book on this topic, I didn't have a lot of hope for a new one. in my mind I questioned if this was just some kind way to profit on the anniversary of his death. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the content of this book. So many quotes my friends and family who actually knew John and his story. Rosemarie hit it out of the park with this beautiful dedication to her friend and her boss. As far as books about the Kennedys go, this is definitely in the top tier. It made me laugh, it made me cry, and it definitely made me wonder what could have been.

If I could give this book a dozen Stars, I would.

I wasn't sure what I was getting into when I started this book. I knew Griffin Dunne from his acting, mostly from his role as Uncle Nick on This is Us. of course I'd heard of his father as well, but I had no idea what this family was all about. This is a beautiful book about an incredible family. It blends new Hollywood and old Hollywood in such a sweet and lovely way. Listening to the audio version read by Griffin was totally delightful. I found myself completely enthralled through the entire book. So many crazy things happened in this family that I fully expected the last words of the book to be "just kidding." I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone who loves a great read.

Tell me you hate the Kennedys without actually saying you hate them...

This book has some interesting details. However, having read and witness the history of the Kennedy family over the years, there were many inaccuracies in this story. Some of which giving the wrong date for when Chappaquiddick occurred as well as the wrong vehicle type the President Kennedy was in when he was assassinated. although I'm sure there are parts of this book that are true, it seems that it's masked over by the author's obvious dislike for the Kennedy men. It seems there are many parts of the book that are speculative more than accurate. If you're into just fictionalized a stories and partial truths about this part of American history, this would probably be a good read for you. I would definitely take most of what is said with a grain of salt.

Great story about a beautiful lady!

the story itself was very well done. it made you see a side of Carolyn that I don't think many people knew. however, I did it on audio and the pronunciation, or should I say mispronunciation, of certain words over and over again really bothered me. it didn't take away that much from the story itself, but when you're listening to a story about the Kennedys and Bouvier is mispronounced several times, it's a little bit annoying. overall though, I would definitely recommend this book. it made me feel a lot different about Carolyn.

Not your typical mistress story

Admittedly when this book came out originally I was a little put off. I couldn't understand why this woman was coming out all of these years later with this information. After listening to this audiobook I get it. it was very well done, very emotional, and I was never against the author. She was young and naive and suffered greatly for her decisions throughout her life. I'm very pleased to say at the end of this book I was completely team Mimi. Definitely worth the time.

A really great story!

I'd never heard the story before, but it was so interesting. it was a real life mystery and I enjoyed hearing about it. there were a lot of great details that made you able to picture exactly what was happening. fascinating. I would definitely recommend.

Amazing book

I've read multiple books about the Kennedys and several about Sinatra, but never about both. This book touches on things that I've never heard before and has amazing detail. Reading about these two fascinating men was definitely worth my time. I couldn't recommend this book more. Excellent read.

Surprisingly uplifting and motivating

This story is excellent. The things Mike and his family have been through are inspiring. It's amazing that he came back from all of the bad things he put himself through to get to where he is today. His positive nature is contagious. I'm definitely impressed by this gentleman on many levels. I would 100% recommend this book.
