What does it look like to live with joy in a society that does not like what Christians believe, say, or do? It's tempting to grow angry, keep our heads down, retreat or just give up altogether. But this isn't the first time that God's people have had to learn how to live in a pagan world that opposes God's rule.

Worth a listen
Revisado: 01-01-25
Comprehension of Daniel’s life and the reality of it, anything I could say would only spoil the reality of the story for some, for others it’s the time tested truth of scripture, that it’s not our strength or ability but Gods work through us… Alistair gives some perspective through this bought we might not have considered and the relevance in our day is so vital. I 100% recommend listening or reading this book.

You may have encountered books on this topic before, but not like this one. Instead of an instruction manual for church growth, this classic text points to basic biblical principles for assessing and strengthening the health of your church. Whether you’re a pastor, a leader, or an involved member of your congregation, studying the nine marks of a healthy church will help you cultivate new life and well-being within your own church for God’s glory.

Things will seem unfamiliar and uncomfortable but I hope if you’re a born again believer it feels necessary. We have clearly lost our way, let’s look to the past and replant our feet on the solid foundation of the scriptures, trust and obey, oh and this book will help too! More than five stars!

Although I respect what they’re teaching.
Revisado: 10-15-24
This isn’t the practical book guiding you through the Scriptures to lead you into evangelism. Through excessive testimonies in uncommon circumstances, we are lead to evangelize in our common Christian walks. I do applaud the effort, but I am more encouraged by practical scriptures on evangelism than what this book offers. Evangelism should be a lifestyle and outflowing of the spirit, spurred on by the Holy Spirit. Praise God she’s had a room full of students and teachers to witness to, and a friendly neighborhood, God be glorified! But we need to be able to give an account for our faith, we need prepared for backlash and a realistic understanding that our efforts might not be as fluffy of an experience as hers even if we do everything right! Continue seeking, don’t be discouraged and hold fast to Jesus!

Historia
Have you ever wondered why we Christians do what we do for church every Sunday morning? Why do we "dress up" for church? Why does the pastor preach a sermon each week? Why do we have pews, steeples, choirs, and seminaries? This volume reveals the startling truth: most of what Christians do in present-day churches is not rooted in the New Testament, but in pagan culture and rituals developed long after the death of the apostles.

Over all worth reading
Revisado: 02-22-22
Over all worth reading, I’ve found myself at times feeling like Frank was reaching, ultimately the way this book closes out though in the last two chapters I agree with. Churches today are not what God intended His Church To be. I would recommend it to be read but not without discernment. We can’t just throw the baby out with the bath water. Church today needs correction, the lengths this book goes to (what feels like) demonizing the current state of the church and church building/gathering are in my personal opinion over board. We need to give God our best, including the efforts to correct where we’ve gotten off track. Church is too much about us and not enough about God in general and this book has helpful input to offer. Just use discernment.

Historia
This is a short and honest account of how God demonstrated his exceeding great mercy to his unworthy servant John Bunyan. This story specifically tells how Bunyan was converted. John Bunyan was a companion of sin and was troubled by sin. He fought temptation and sin in his own strength and lost, and in despair, he gave up hope of ever finding God’s mercy; but the Lord Jesus Christ at last delivered him from the guilt and terror that so often and so viciously troubled him.

The Theft of America’s Soul is a prophetic wake-up call for all who desire to see our nation thrive, challenging listeners to exchange these 10 lies for truths that will bring peace of mind, harmony, and prosperity back to our country - an invitation to experience the life-giving, peace-filling, wholly-transforming love of God. Phil Robertson, patriarch of A&E’s Duck Dynasty and one of the most recognized voices of conservative Christianity in America, believes that little by little, America has allowed the lines of morality, decency, and virtue to be erased.

The Truth, Spirit inspired, Hearty
Revisado: 03-20-20
I took up on reading Phil’s book as advised by a friend online. We are currently faced with an old threat, Fear! (Corona virus) Of this world, and doing no good for us, I’m going to trust the Lord! In reflection, I very much agree with Phil, we’ve given into the deceiver, believing and exchanging the truth for a lie! But don’t take my word for it! I don’t have any books, Phil Does! And he’s Great with words! The best way, since we’re all stuck in the house anyways is to follow along with your Bible, don’t take our word for it! Pick it up and read it for yourself. Take the respect you may have gained for this man, and listen to his testimony, it’s God given! And see for yourselves. Thanks Mr. Robertson! I wish I knew you when I was younger. Might have moved me a little sooner! If you’re ever in N.E. Ohio id be glad to meet you, -Travis Ledford -Zeal Finishing LLC
