Historia
Ditch your teen anxieties to become the best version of yourself and face the future with confidence and excitement! It’s hard to be a teenager. You’re expected to act like an adult, but you’re still at the mercy of parents and teachers who treat you like a child. You feel pressured to live up to the label that others have given you, when in your heart you know that’s not really who you are. So many other things make your teen years painful–falling in love and not being loved back, feeling you’re not good enough, being awkward when what you really want is to be the coolest kid in the room….

Likes:
-Loved the references and humor. There’s a lot of goodies for adults as well here.
-Appreciated the suggestions to seek parental guidance and support.
-Liked the straightforward descriptions and examples of what constitutes B.S., including all forms of gossip.
-Overall this book offers excellent information and practical methods that anyone can apply in being a better version of themselves!
Dislikes:
-Thought the overly used (adult) word “bullshit” maybe was a good attempt to connect with the teenage mind (as they want to be treated as an adult), but seemed a bit contradictory when stirred in with advice about standards and morality.
-Wondered if giving several items of “homework” could be a turn-off for an overwhelmed teen just seeking perspective rather than more assignments in order become a successful adult…(?)
-Thought maybe using alternative references besides the notorious CDC for health and hygiene would be a little more encouraging; just sayin’ ;)
