What a ride...funny, sad, infuriating...so many emotions. This book made me fall in love with Leah all over again...and her friendship with JLo is friend goals!

My favorite novel, my favorite protagonist.

I first read this book as a teenager and had a crush on Tim, who was well spoken, kind hearted, heroic and honorable. The book remains my favorite "pop novel".
My only issue with the performance is that the narrator's voice is a bit old and slightly stodgy sounding to be Tim. it was performed with the right amount of angst and emotion and tenderness, and while he is a great narrator for Dick's other books... in this case, I had read the book so many times I'd fleshed out such an idea of who Tim was had he been real that the voice, not being in keeping energy wise with Tim's vitality, kept taking me out of the performance. This is not the narrator's fault... this is merely a reflection of how close the character and the book are to my heart.
But I'm sure I will listen to it a million more times.

My favorite of all of the Joe Ledger books.

I love how action-packed this book is and how Maberry is taking modern current events and tying them into the storyline. I swear the mayor of Happy Valley serves on the board in my gated community. I also get the distinct feeling that Jonathan Maberry realizes women can kick ass, but there are some women who are going to fall on the wrong side and subjugate others. There are heroes and villains on both side of the gender divide.

I loved the book from the opening sentence. If you have ever struggled with acceptance, this is for you. sometimes you have to find your own tribe, and accept each other and yourselves. Once you accept yourself the world doesn't have a choice. I am a pageant girl, though not your typical one. I get how and why Willowdean was fighting for everyon's right to compete. We are all beautiful.

I do not like to watch movies or read books again within the first year or so, but this was so good I want to begin it again just minutes after finishing it.

I found the information in this book to be unique and very useful. It was entertaining enough to listen to for long stretches at a time and I didn't feel overwhelmed by the amount of information provided . It was well-paced and kept my interest.

Interesting until you realize how restrictive!

I couldnt finish. Too restrictive. Its fine for someone who gets up ar 2 am to go buy cookie dough, or who schedules there whole day to get doughnts from a certain shop...but that is not my issue, so I dont need anything so restrictive. Brain cognition info is interesting, though. But I will just buy a book on that.

I found the information in this book very interesting and enjoyed the breakdown of the science behind it. What I have started doing of the program is working... but I'm telling you guys right now I'm not doing the cryotherapy. Our ancestors worked hard to create the technology tht eventually became Central Heating and I wouldn't want their sacrifice to be for naught. But I'll give everything else a shot.

4th time through, just as captivating

I feel like the world's worst feminist yearning for Sayuri to become the Chairman's mistress...such a romantic story of people living their most hopeful lives in situations that were not necessarily of their own making, due to the tradition and unfairness found in other eras and cultures. It enthralls the anthropologist in me. And at the same time it makes the modern woman in me quite pissy. I guess good books create such contradiction in the spirit.

It took a paranormal turn but I ain't mad...;-)

Right around book 3 these series usually take a turn for the paranormal. I usually get annoyed even as I try to tell myself it's not a documentary it's a zombie book. I can buy zombies or ghosts I can buy zombies or werewolves I cannot buy zombie ghost werewolves. And yet I love the paranormal turn this book took. I can't explain it I was just along for the ride and I enjoyed it very much.
