Heartfelt, Beautiful & Relatable Story of Survival

Michelle Williams does an excellent job with her narration of this book. Britney’s views in her words feel so real. Though I’m sure she had help I appreciate the fact that the publication kept in mind to try to keep the verbiage as true to the way she speaks as possible. It enhances the delivery of the book as an autobiography.

So much sadness, child abuse spoken so matter of factly like it happens all the time ( I know it does) she just spoke of things her parents did as if it was normal. This woman is a Survivor. Lucky to be here. Yes she’s damaged many of us who are survivors are. We can only learn and try to live healthy lives

The mispronounced names drive me insane!

I’m enjoying the series. However, from the very first chapter I noticed the mispronounced name “Sorcha”. It’s an old Gaelic name pronounced Serrica. They should definitely do more research on proper pronunciation of certain words and names especially in historical fiction from different countries. I actually have a niece named Sorcha.

More research please before approving these performances. Idk if the writer just looked up names and has no clue or nobody cared about proper narration. Either way. I’m on chapter 3. And don’t know if I can make it through

I wish the narrator did more research on the characters. She made Cassandra sound like an old woman instead of a vampire still at the prime of her life (in looks and sound). I couldn’t finish because it sounded so bad.

Nice to hear men POV

Enjoyed the main story. When it jumped to Jeremy and Jamie I was disappointed that the audiobook ended literally in the middle of a scene while Jeremy was speaking and action hadn’t been resolved.

Subpar Narration

Please get narrators who can have a diversity with both male and female voices. It’s so difficult to enjoy an audiobook when then men all sound like women with bad colds. It’s so disappointing with so many talented narrators out there. This narrator should maybe stick with books with multiple narrators

Horrible Narration!!

I’m sorry but the male’s voice sounds like a sloth with a severe cold. I’ve listened to all previous books in the series and though most of the female narrators have had trouble with male voices this is by far the worst. Since Karl is a main character it makes finishing the book daunting. I keep trying to continue to listen. One of the largest issues is the mispronunciation of J -Ay -Me Vegas’ name to Hi-Me?? Honestly how experienced of a narrator are you that you couldn’t look up a character’s name pronunciation. Especially a common name. Unfortunately this narrator will go on my narrator list with my above comments as I am a frequent listener and like to know ahead of time what I am spending money or credits on

Story may have had a chance

This is one of the worst narrations I’ve ever heard. I tried others suggestions of changing speeds to no avail. The only reason my audio player made it to chapter 3 was because I fell asleep. Maybe I will try to read the book 🤷🏻‍♀️

Could barely get past female narrator

I’ve been listening to the series and find the characters likeable but this female narrator was one of the worst on a book that I could typically listen to in a day or day and a half tops. It took me 3 days. Idk if she is trying to change her voice her the lead female but it was atrocious and it kept changing. When she would attempt some male voices, she made one sound like a pre pubescent boy. The male narrator did a better job with the female voices sorry but I fast forwarded a lot. Better off reading it
