I gave up after 3 hours and exchanged it. She finds every way possible to say "I am great, I've done so much, and I'm also so smart"

I've listened to Michelle Obama's, Biden's and even Elizabeth Warren's book, while I don't align with them politically, I enjoyed their books and recommended them. They at least told me something about their life - outside the context of 'an accomplishment'. Kamala is basically Trump in sheep's clothing. God help us when they declare Bidon incompetant and she takes over!

Too anecdotal. The narrator just rubbed me the wrong way. He would interrupt people seemingly so he could sound like the smart one of the conversation.

Some decent parts, but otherwise wouldn't have missed it

Never wouldn't have thought 11 hours of beaver stories would have been interesting, but it was. I enjoy these interesting otherwise anonymous topics. Glad I listened.

Great look into a man's/politician's life

I thought it was a great book and completely Chris Christie - meaning if you hate him, you will probably hate the book, but if you like him or don't know him you should really enjoy it.

I had read some comments that it was self-serving, I didn't really see any of that. I suspect they hated Christie (to the point of why read the book, and they probably didn't read the book) and saw what they wanted to.

I read the Michelle Obama and Joe Biden books, and objectively liked them. If you hate republicans and/or hate him, skip the book. But if you like a good human story, you will really like it

Intertwines 2 stories - family/tragedy & Politics

I really liked this book, close to a five, but it got too deep into the politics and historical events. I really think if it was just his a background of him and his family and the battle of dealing with the tragedy of his son's illness, it would have been a much better book. It's not so much that the political/historical portions were bad,

it just didn't fit in. It was like having a dinner party ad serving sushi and fondue - you may like them individually, but together... not so much.

Joe leads down an emotional path that draws you into his life, then he's ripping on some detailed discussion and geopolitical schtuff. I happen to like that detail, but not immediately after or intertwined with emotional stories that I'm fight back tears.

I'm from 'the other party' but always liked and respected Joe, this book only enhanced it. An for you other republicans, get the book, he only takes 2 or 3 pot shots at the Republicans.

Joe is a good man and this is a good book.

Great story - from a 54 yo white republican man

I was not a fan of President Obama's policies and views, but I did think he and Michelle we really good people.

I just like good stories with good people; Michelle's life is very different from mine, and I appreciate her experiences and contributions to make us a better, more elevated society.

I only cringed a couple times when she got political and implied only the Republican party dig in their heals and are partisan. but it was infrequently enough for me to still consider this a great book.

For you democrats, since I read this, and since Michelle and W became good friends, 41 - A Portrait of My Father By: George W. Bush. I think you will be equally surprised - regardless of your political view,

Excellent book, easy listen

I am a big Robin Williams fan, but I think I would have liked this book even if I wasn’t. The reader was excellent; they he book called for an occasional imitation and they were spot on.

While the subject is a famous person, the writer brought out the very human aspects.

For the record, I think CBS was wrong for canceling the Crazy Ones 😉. I think it was hitting its stride
